The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda (RPFAB) has intensified its homicide investigation into the death of Asot Michael, the 54-year-old MP for St Peter.

Following the discovery of his body at his Dry Hill home, police have been actively questioning several individuals in connection to the incident.

A person of interest has reportedly been taken into custody, and investigators continue to conduct interviews to gather details.

Police PRO Frankie Thomas confirmed that multiple individuals are being questioned, though he did not provide specifics on arrests. He assured that a formal press release will follow once the investigative team completes its inquiries.

Authorities are also reviewing surveillance footage from the area as part of their efforts to piece together the circumstances surrounding Michael’s death.
