Police Probe Two Separate Woundings

Police are appealing for information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in a wounding incident on St. Jonhs Street.


Around 4:10 am on Saturday, February 8, a 31-year-old male of Newfield reported that while he was walking on St. Johns street in the vicinity of Enzo’s Restaurant, he was attacked and stabbed by eight unknown assailants.


He sustained several lacerations about his body and was transported to the hospital.


Police are asking anyone with information surrounding this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.

Meanwhile, the police are investigating a seperate stabbing incident where a 30-year-old male of Potters is nursing multiple stab wounds at the hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation; however, the victim sustained multiple lacerations about his body, including a punctured lungs.

His injuries are serious; however his condition is stable.

The incident occurred around 4:45 am at G-Spot Night Club.

One male suspect is in police custody in relation to the ongoing investigation.
