Police Address Situation at Booby Alley, Point
On Tuesday, April 4, around 12:50 pm the police were called to Booby Alley in Point to provide security to an official from the High Court of Justice, who was on the scene to enforce a Court Order on the occupants of a property located in the said area.
When the police arrived at the scene, one of the occupants, Mr. Joel O’Marde refused to comply with the order and became aggressive, while openly hurling threats at the police and the court official.
Several attempts were made by the police to persuade and encourage Mr. O’Marde to comply with the order; instead, he armed himself with a weapon and continued resisting and threatening the police and the court officer.
In an effort to neutralize the threats and to prevent the situation from escalating any further out of control, the police resorted to using non-lethal measures to subdue him and take him into custody.
The matter is still under investigation, and it is likely that charges will be brought against him.

Our country is a country of LAWS and those who think they are above the law; I wish them well. When the court gives an order, the police must execute the court’s order. If not, we will become a lawless country.
Just yesterday we saw how power Donald Trump had to submit to the police to be arrested. He too had to find out that he is not above the law. People let politicians put them on the front line for their political ambitions. They are therefore the fools that will get hurt in the end.

And Donald Trump walked into the building and walked back out and took a plane back to Florida. Stop trying to make it look like Donald Trump was handcuffed and led into a jail cell. And at the end of the day, this issue with Trump will be thrown out like all the others. Democrats trying to stop Trump from running in the 2024 election is all this is.
“Our country is a country of laws” you say, but it’s ok for immigration officials break those laws and allow “opportunistic migrants” into the country. How many laws have government, and other public officials broken with impunity? The court order didn’t direct the police to shoot the resident in his home. Was there no other approach the police could have taken? The man was clearly not a threat.

As you say he flew from Florida to NY to be arraigned, (call or bring (someone) before a court to answer a criminal charge.) Which includes being fingerprinted and picture taken. And all that is because the court ordered him to come. He could not defy a court order. Or he would have suffered the consequences. These people in Pointe try to defy a court order and suffer the consequences of the police upholding the law. Very very stupid in the end you will always lose. No one is above the law.

I just want to know how a person who’s hand is visible all the time is threatening. He is agitated but i don’t see him threatening anyone. Speech is free the same way the police cusses its civilians why can’t we do the same. No one should be above the law but still the police is always above the law. A change needs to happen.
All I wanna say is Gaston is supposed to throw home owners off their property and leave them homeless for him to take said land and sell it for the highest bidder?, when will Antiguans wake up?
