Police in St Kitts and Nevis are still searching for a citizen of Antigua and Barbuda who escaped from the St. Peter’s Community Centre last month.

The fugitive, identified as 53-year-old Nicholas Santana, is the only one of nine escapees who has yet to be apprehended.

The escape occurred after a boat carrying 14 West Africans capsized and sank in Kittitian waters on March 28, with Santana and another Antiguan being rescued by the coast guard.

Commissioner of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force, James Sutton, confirms that investigations are ongoing.

  1. Why St. Kitts don’t focus on the welfare of its citizens and stop harassing Antiguans. The Antiguan can obviously take care of himself and not interested in help from St. Kitts police so just let him be. St. Kitts had no right in the first place to place an Antiguan in custody without permission from authorities in Antigua.

Antigua has a military air force presence and St. Kitts has none. Antigua should do some drills over St. Kitts to send a message.

    • @Bilbo from All Saints…your thought process is appalling, to say the least. Then again, it’s definitely understandable, since,
habits become norms and norms become a way of life.

    • Bilbo from All Saints, you dunce dunce dunce!!!!! What the hell are you talking about? The boat capsized in St. Kitts waters. Hence they were rescued from St. Kitts rescuers and taken to St. Kitts. This has nothing to do with St. Kitts being in the affairs of Antigua. Go learn to read and analyze and comprehend. You are too cantankerous and love to fight.

  2. Areche is long gone; he’s back in the DR or maybe even in Antigua. They’re going to need law enforcement in Antigua to help search for him in Antigua — Good luck getting any results there — In the DR, he’s free, free, free.
The Cameroonians were decoys allowing him to escape.
