POLICE EXPRESS GRATITUDE TO PUBLIC IN CHANTEL CRUMP MURDER INVESTIGATION
The Police Administration is expressing gratitude to the public for the overwhelming support and assistance received in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Chantel Crump.
The cohesiveness of each community, along with the prompt responses from law enforcement, has significantly contributed to the progress made in the case.
The administration also wishes to refute claims circulating on certain social media platforms suggesting that a specific individual is solely responsible for this success. In reality, it has been the involvement of residents across Antigua and Barbuda who have come together to support both Chantel’s family and the police. It is disingenuous for any single person to take credit for this collective effort, especially in such a sensitive matter.
The police kindly ask the public to respect the grieving process of Chantel’s family and assure everyone that they are committed to working with them to ensure justice is served and closure is achieved. Residents are reminded that the investigation is still ongoing, and they should refrain from making public remarks that could hinder its progress. I am alarmed that the prime minister say hundreds of rich business man here waiting in hotel for either stem cell or organs, this is scary, it can push people to provide their medical demands because they are rich, even the prime minister acknowledge their wealth and sounds like influence as well. And I don’t think the prime minister should have came out protective of this private stem cell company as he did during the offshore bank debacle that owed that Canadian man million of USD dollars where he curst and make derogatory remarks about the bank customer because he wanted his money withdrawn, he was called greedy by the prime minister for his own money, just like he called barbudans by derogatory terms because they want to protect their lands from Gaston selling it to white people , leave private business and individuals to defend their position in the public and you the prime minister be protective of the citizens, after all it’s we that voted you into office.
If I was the commissioner I would be embarrass by the the prime minister going on public radio telling people how he gives you investigation and police tips and when to carry out his wishes, I know the prime minister should get intelligence briefing but it should be to an extent since it’s a position he enjoy by been a political animal, he could alert outsiders on police impending action against them for votes to remain on power, I could remember someone close to Elton martin former commissioner when briefing Lester bird at 5 a.m in the morning use to endure a lot of expletives from the then prime minister, and it seems to continue to these future police commissioner, I would advise the commissioner to brief up to certain extent, you got to be smart to protect your police comrades act military.in order to function to your fullest capacity leave out civilian out of the police preemptive moves.
