The police are continuing their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Police Corporal Clifton Common.
Common was reportedly injured in the line of duty by a male detained at St. John’s Police Station around 1:00 pm on Thursday.
He was taken to Mount St. John Medical Center, where was pronounced dead around 2:25 pm by a medical doctor

How could this happen? I thought they put bracelets and ankle chains on anyone arrested. Because I have seen. Where a person arrested for saying something. He was shacked at the legs and secured bracelets on at the same time. So what happened in this instance?

My heart is extremely saddened to hear of this officer’s death and moreso the manner it happened…… Unlike many officers who use the police force to flex their muscles & exercise authority unnecessarily, this officer was a peace to the dead…. Besides been in the company of his wife & his daughter, he has never been seen with anyone else… It is sad….!! My condolences go out to his family…..
