Police Continue Probe in Customs Officer’s Death

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 44yr old Custom Officer, Nigel Christian of McKinnons.

Christian was allegedly abducted from his home in McKinnons around 5:30 pm on Friday 10th July by four men.

He was later found along a dirt road at Thibous in the vicinity of New Winthorpes Area, with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

A medical doctor arrived on the scene and pronounced him dead around 9:17pm.

Meanwhile, Police and Customs are appealing to anyone with information that can further assist them in their investigations to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914

Police a few months ago.You were all busy arresting people for breaking of curfew.It was like picking low hanging mangoes.So easy it brought some dough into the Government’s coffers.Now that you have a real case in your plates.Get out there and investigate and make arrests in this matter.Here is where policing comes into play.An Antigua and Barbuda Customs Officer was murdered.This matter would not be swept under the rugs like many others.Nine days of uproar,then nothing happens after that.
