Source- Real News Antigua: A police constable with about 10 years of service is being
investigated for theft, an inside source alleges, and fellow officers say the treatment meted out to him is clear discrimination.
Earlier this week, reportedly, the constable was caught removing parts from a motor vehicle being held in police custody.
Following the incident, the officer was detained and a search warrant was
executed at his home.
However, his colleagues are disturbed that the constable is being “hauled around” like a hardened criminal. In the meanwhile, they claim, a sergeant who is alleged to have fired 12 shots at a vehicle is out free, and attempts are being made to cover up the offence.

In the early 2000’s, they allege that he was arrested and charged for other offences against a person, but that the charge was withdrawn after languishing in the system for years.
His colleagues further allege that the sergeant was implicated in other matters involving the sale of the temporary licences that are granted for one-off public celebrations.
Yet, they say, he continues unchecked and occupies the same position despite the adverse reports on his conduct.

It’s well known to the Public that the Police do remove parts from vehicles that are impounded in their possession.May GOD help these officers from their Wicked ways.The Police Force is full of Criminals who wear Police uniforms and who hold very high Positions.
He supposed to be held to a higher standard — didn’t he take an oath to uphold the law? Now, if this didn’t happen the public wouldn’t know that a sergeant shot at someone in a car 10 times? So, the police department have criminals as law enforcement officers? These are the ills that needs to be fixed in Antigua first.
Corruption breeds crime. The nation is pregnant with the babies of criminals. Woe unto you, once these crime babies are born and grow up to become criminals in the likeness of their parents/criminals.

That acting sergeant has not only had brushes with the law, he had serious brushes where he was implicated in an act of a serious sexual offense. That matter was withdrawn because the complainant ask to withdraw the matter. He was never acquitted. Had the matter gone to trial a prison sentence would still be ongoing. This brought the police force to its lowest low where officers are involved with people underage pickny. Now as we know this force has no moral values where higher ups are fighting to promote this man through the ranks. While he was remanded to prison others were out working hard but yet to be promoted. Twelve shots fired at a vehicle with two occupants is clearly attempted murder. If was another officer he/she would already served suspension letter. Members of the force is waiting to see the turn of events. Atlee Rodney and albert wade should no that there will be a serious breakdown in the force according to how this serious occurrence is dealt with. Not long ago an inspector was charged 950 dollars for a disciplinary offense of disobeying orders. Let the chips lie where they may!!!!!!!!

So he arrest civilians for thefts and he is doing the same. Every civilian this officer had arrested and charged for theft should be released. A thief’s cannot arrest and charge another thief.
Both Officers as stated in this aligations, is guilty of conduct unbecoming of a member of the Police Constabulary and, have brought a glaring light to shine on the operational functioning and expectations of the Department: with these aligations of Ill repute tarnishing the good name expected of a professional para military organization. They should be suspended without pay pronto: pending a compressive investigation and, summary report and referral to the DDP for judicial prosecution. As per the Officer discharging of his firearm in the transaction of private business: There is legal avenues available to him as well a the general public to ventilated civil disputes. You just can’t use the privilege of legal possion of a firearm to discharge-when no imminent harm to your person is involved or, to threaten under color of Law Enforcement Official to retrieve personal possession or, to settle personal disputes.
