Atlee Rodney

The Commissioner of Police of Antigua and Barbuda was invited to the Cabinet along with the Top Brass of the RPFAB.

The Commissioner provided comprehensive data on crimes and arrests in Antigua and Barbuda in the year just ended (2023), compared to previous years.

There has been a negligible change in petty crime in 2023 over 2022; and it was also reported that there has been a minute reduction in road fatalities between both years.

The police reported that trained dogs were assisting in catching those who attempted to import illicit drugs, firearms, and other contraband. Eight (8) officers are trained to operate the K-9 unit.

The police are preparing for the May 27th – 30th United Nations Small Island Developing States Conference.

Approximately 5,000 delegates are expected to spend almost one week in several hotels across the island.

The Police are also responsible for collecting revenue for various activities and collected more than EC$1 million.

  1. Most of the police can be seen in st John’s daily issuing tickets to drivers while gunmen going around terrorizing people in broad daylight, like the government so broke and glad to get money from people double parking or not wearing a seatbelt.

  2. So they didn’t provide any answers on crime. They simply reported that everything was just fine. See you next year.

  3. At that room will not have not even one person with a degree (bachelors or masters or doctorate) in criminology, victimology, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, and other social sciences so that they can be pragmatic in the discussion and solution.

I am available via whatsapp to be part of this discussion, actual experts should be at the helm of their fields and such discussions.

I am making myself available, for free.

    • @My way of helping…whether you or any of these/those professionals with “degrees,” believe it or not, you as PROFESSIONALS designed, implemented, fund and main POLICIES, that creates the CHAOS in society, then on the other hand create policies to mitigate, the damages done of, by, through their own makings.

I’m quite sure, that you’re familiar with the terms…

      A…OUT OF CHAOS, COMES ORDER.

      B…THE WAR ON DRUGS!

      Please review/watch such things as…

      1…THE MENA CONNECTION!
      2…MAN ON THE RUN.
3…The Womb To Prison Pipeline: How it funds the legal and penal Institutions in America.

While the emphasis towards “crime prevention and fighting” is placed on curtailing the Street Thugs, they’re simply PAWNS and FOOT SOLDIERS in the ORGANISED CRIME WORLD protecting the King & Queen and their Court!

In the USA where you reside, I assume, the US CONGRESS is not only one of the most corrupt ENTITY, in its history, it has produced more CRIMINALS, than even the Coso Nostra; and, for the most part they go unpunished!

      • @Ras Smood, intent and honor means something. Those bad apples will not make my apple, that is separate from and distant to those bad apples, will not go bad.

Do not think like this, good people exist and that I can promise you and confirm.

        • @My way of helping…

I…do not tell me how to think. You’re being audacious.

II…do not promise me anything. A promise is a comfort to a fool.

III…I have no doubt, that there are good HUEmans, with good intentions left amongst us.

IV…no one individual, regardless, of who they are, what rank/position which they temporarily hold, in the #matrix, they alone, do not have the solution(s), in this case, the escalation of crimes in Antigua; therefore, get off your miniature pony. It’s not the ONLY one in the race.

IV…curtailing crimes, especially, the street level crimes which are on the rise, in Antigua is, will have to be A COMMUNITY EFFORT. Ebrie #Tut, #Munn and #Bugeye!

V…whilst professionals trained, to hold certain positions are required, and are necessary, to curtail crimes, the MAJORITY of professionals are in business to make money and be profitable, at it.
A prime example, legal luminaries will always make sure, that they get paid! WIN! LOSE! DRAW! Are there exceptions, to this rule[sic] most def!

  4. And Gaston, while people are answering to you, remember you have to answer to God and you can’t get away from that.

  5. Crime Prevention to Crime fighting MUST be dealt with from ALL aspects, of Criminality for such to be effective. Picking the low hanging fruits such as the Street Thugs and leaving the ROOT CAUSES(bribery, embezzlement, corruption, malfeasance) out of the CRIME PREVENTION and CRIME FIGHTING PLANS is useless.
Street Crimes will only get worst.

  6. Did he tell them that it’s because he too lazy and lie to do anything about crime on the streets and crime from the force too?

  7. ONE THOUGHT OR TWO
WHAT IF the full, unedited recording/printout of the Cabinet discussions were made publicly available?
Political party strategy? Peoples representation? Democracy? Freedom of Speech? Credibility? Trust? Intentions? Honesty? Capabilities?
All of these are at play in any such critical discussions for us to know!

Let us interact with humility, grace, honesty, good intentions!…..Be nice to each other!

Save our Humanity, Save our Youths, Save our Environment, Save our Soil!!!
    Be safe and well!

    Respect

  8. This traveling puppet should be fired along with Steadroy Benjamin. Yes, the same lazy, incompetent AG who will face the courts on corr charges eventually.
This is just to appear as if they really give a damn. Waste of time, this cabinet of Gaston Browne and his band of failures.

  9. Police Commissioner Attlee Rodney, the citizens of Antigua & Barbuda do not want to hear about comparable crime facts and figures from year to year.

With due respect sir, what we want to know is that you are being proactive with policing on our streets, villages, towns and Parishes.

Stop the deflection, because you are sounding like our own king of deviation, Gaston ‘Dead Cat Narrative’ Browne.

DEAL WITH THE HEAR AND NOW PLEASE…

  10. Are people really still listening to these fools?

The problem is not with how many people park “illegally”, it’s right at the top of the food chain. This very Commish is complicit in the very acts he’s reporting about.
From Gatson, to the AG, to the judges, and all their lieutenants, carrying out their corrupt orders.

Start with that Report Mr Rodney.. Start with the corruption with Air Peace, the 1000 Africans who were let loose in our streets, start with the Alpha Nero. Start with all this high white color crimes that have gone unpunished, and that have subsequently gone unpunished.

That’s where your report should start Mr Commish.

    Give me a Bloody break!!!
