Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney said the son of homicide victim Althea Henry was recovering at the hospital.
The young man was reportedly injured in circumstances related to the incident that left his mother dead on Sunday.
Murder suspect Anthony Boyd surrendered to police on Monday morning.
“He is the one suspect we have, and out of that incident, there was her son, the young 21-year-old Francis, who was also injured from an incident that boiled out from the same case,” Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney told state media on Monday.
“He is doing much better now. He is in stable condition. He has been placed on a ward, and we will continue to monitor his progress,” the police commissioner revealed.
Rodney added, “I just want to express our sympathies to the relatives of Althea Henry and the rest of her family. It’s unfortunate that we have lost another person under those circumstances, but our sympathy go out to her family.”
In 2017, Boyd was charged with attempted murder for allegedly attacking Henry and leaving her for dead. However, the charge was later dropped at Henry’s request.
Rodney said the suspect was “assisting with the investigations, so we are progressing quite well with that investigation.”

Anyway welcome back from wherever.
She drop charge? Then a she want it so
Why see it as our system here in antigua failed her. Whether or not she didn’t want to press charges, the police had enough to pursue a conviction based on the damn crime. He should’ve been jailed and then deported.
The police commissioner needs to stand his ground and remove world dictator traitor tyrant liar Gaston Browne from further getting involved with all criminal investigations.
