Police Chief Atlee Rodney is appealing to residents who may be providing shelter to an injured man to come forward and cooperate with the authorities.

He emphasized that there will be significant repercussions for anyone found guilty of withholding information.

During the robbery of a local businessman at Woods Mall on April 21, one of the perpetrators sustained a gunshot wound but did not seek medical attention.

The incident occurred in the Wood Mall’s parking lot after the businessman, carrying a large sum of cash, had just left a nearby bank on Friars Hill Road.

CCTV footage capturing the entire event circulated widely on social media. In an interview with local radio station Observer, Chief Rodney confirmed that the matter is actively under investigation, with progress being made.

Although there is currently no concrete evidence of a gunshot injury, Rodney mentioned that reports have circulated among residents regarding one of the suspects being wounded.

Rodney urged anyone in possession of such information or any individual hiding with an undisclosed injury to approach the police for a discussion.
