Police capture Delano Forbes

The man wanted in connection with the death of Wilfred “Bongo” Williams of Swetes is now in police custody.

Delano Forbes also of Swetes was captured around 8 pm on Monday in some bushes in Swetes during an intelligence-driven operation by Police. He is currently assisting the Police further with their investigations.

Lawmen have been appealing to the man to turn himself in since the death of Williams last week.

The police believe that Forbes can help them determine how the well-known taxi driver died.

The 59-year-old was found dead in a pit latrine after his family reported that he was missing.

It is alleged that Williams saw Forbes breaking into the home of a police officer and reported it.

  1. Hope he is of help to the investigation; if not, then what a waste of time issuing bulletins and public appeals for him to turn himself in.

    Bongo was a good man.
    He doesn’t trouble people.
    He murdered him because Bingo witnesses him committing a crime.
    He threatened to take Bongo’s life.
    Let that sink in.

Well, it seems the people in Swetes Village and the neigbouring communities can rest well now, for it is alleged that Mr. Forbes have been a community menace for quite some time now, more so that several reports were made to the police regarding him breaking and entering people’s homes, and even going has far as terrorizing the poor people there.

    What, it had to take the loss of an innocent life for the authorities to finally step in. What a shame.

    Rest in peace Bongo. The taking of your life has finally brought peace to many.
