POEM: ‘Twas the night before Christmas

‘Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the land,
The people were stirring, with a plan,
To vote out the corrupt ALP, with a stand.

Their lies and their corruption, no longer enough,
It was time for change, time to get tough.
So they cast their ballots, with a cheer,
For the UPP, a new leader, to appear.

On the horizon, with fresh ideas, and new plans,
The UPP victorious, ready to take the reins.
Of leadership, and serve the people’s needs,
The UPP ready to lead, with their deeds.

In mind, as they start a new chapter,
The corrupt ALP left in rapture.
Their time is up, as the UPP takes the stage,
A new leader, with the people’s trust, to engage.

The UPP, a beacon of hope, and a brighter tomorrow,
Ready to enrich the lives of the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
With fresh ideas, and a desire to serve,
The UPP triumphant, a new leader, to preserve.

The well-being of the people, and a brighter future for all,
The UPP victorious, ready to stand tall.
As a new leader, with a fresh start, and a new way,
The UPP triumphant, on January 18th, hooray!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night,
As we celebrate the UPP’s victory, and their desire to make things right!
