Prime Minister Gaston Browne has responded to criticism from the ABLP executive, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and tolerance within the Labour Party.
Browne, facing scrutiny for welcoming opposition defectors, emphasized that the party must remain inclusive and accommodating to all members.
In a recent statement, Browne stated, “The Labour Party must remain an inclusive institution. We must accommodate everyone who wants to become a member of the organization.”
He dismissed notions of exclusivity within the party, likening it to a church where all are welcome regardless of their background.
Browne acknowledged the concerns raised by some within the party about long-standing members using their position to undermine newcomers.
He stressed the need for increased tolerance and inclusivity, stating, “We can’t have different types of membership within an institution. We must be more embracing and inclusive.”

I must applaud the PM for his skillful maneuvering with regards to the issue of the opposition defectors. The issue is not if they should be welcomed by the ABLP, but rather how quickly they get pushed to the surface above and beyond all else. This suggests that all others, including those who have served loyally and with distinction within the Labour Party, are simply not capable or good enough for him. This of course feels like a slap in the face or a kick to the bottom( as it is) of those who would have given their all to Labour.
Some are really deserving. But there are some who want to be in positions they are not qualified for, or unable to handle and just making a lot of noise. Those who can serve should be given the opportunity to do so, but don’t go around wanting to be a politician or otherswise if you don’t have the grain or lack the capacity to do so. Chupse!

The problem is not that you welcome them to the party. That is what should happen. But what I have an issue with and many in the party of Papa Bird, is that you let them jump the line because of the praises they sing to you. Lamin should not have been encourage to run in that constituency, because we have enough “Original” Labour Party Members that are interested. He should work with them to take back the seat from the UPP.
UPP should be happy to see the backs of those political prostitutes. They should occupy a special red light area in ABLP headquarters to amuse themselves and their new found comrades with all the trappings of a whorehouse. There is nothing wrong with switching to another party on a point of political principle firmly held, yet ask any one of these flippers why they switched to ABLP on point of principle and I dare say not one could give a valid answer. It’s all about jumping on the corrupt gravy train the ABLP has become. It’s enough to make you puke to.think of it. They deserve eaxh other.

Our out of touch Prime Minister cannot really complain, that even his own party are questioning his motives in acquiring former UPP members.
Gaston Browne thought his recruitment would make him look all conquering and all powerful.
BUT IT HAS BACKFIRED. GREAT!
UPP now has to make the most of this internal ABLP strife. Because they were so passive in dealing with Gaston Browne’s weaknesses in the past, but they must make the of this “gift”, because the welfare of the people and the future of the country is at stake.
The joy of seeing Gaston Browne being taken to task at last gives many of us immense pleasure.

Another thing the PM should understand. Not everyone wants to go and be heard on the radio. I for example take it to this medium and defend my Labour Party. And especially in my group of friends they know how passionately I can get. I’m a soldier fighting for my Party. And so you have many of us doing what we need to do in our own way. And really I don’t really know if those going everyday on the radio are really making a difference. Cause I can tell you after a while people get tired of hearing them every day. They sound like those on Observer Radio in the end. The only thing worth listening to is the Browne and Browne show on Saturday.
Dear Mr PM Wurl Boss u need to understand the laborites are not upset they joined the party. This is has been happening in all of Caribbean Politics it’s nothing new the truth that we are one people with similar ideas of progress for the Nation must be encouraged and the cream of the crop is desired bad eggs are discarded our PM is wise because this helps in Nation building and makes his work easy and the scary part is it squeezes the juice out of the opposition and make them helpless if Pringle leaves as he is now admiring leadership strengths in Gaston Browne then it all over because he would definitely had a brilliant future with the ABLP because he is maturing to be a future leader
