Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for St John’s City West, Hon. Gaston Browne has announced his intention to engage with members of the 2 Drilly Gang.
He made the announcement on the Browne and Browne Show on Pointe FM on Saturday.
The group, believed to be comprised of young individuals, reputedly operates from the Fort Road area. Prime Minister Browne assures members of the group there would be “no consequences, no ratting out” from the proposed engagement.
He announced this as part of a redoubling of his efforts to engage even delinquent elements in “positive vibrations.”

I applaud This initiative.. sometimes the youth just need to be heard. It’s tough out here in these streets. Job security, financial stability, education and more is lacking more so than ever in today’s youth. They’re more or less driven into a corner, forced to engage in less than smart choices. What can be done?… How can we meet you half way to curb this enthusiasm as a delinquent mind? These are questions we must opin to ourselves. Did you know that you can walk in to a police station, confess, and surrender at any time? If you confess you would normally get a lighter sentence (fewer years). Also, if you didn’t do much, you can give evidence against the ones who did the bad stuff and maybe get an even lighter sentence. Some people even get zero years behind bars if they turn into witnesses for the state. Something to think about.
Also, if you turned to crime because of poverty, you will be fed and clothed an maybe taught a skill in jail. You can then start a business and make money the proper way once you’re out. Just be sure to keep away from former friends.
