  2. Says our Prime Minister who allowed recently the DESTRUCTION of our mangroves by a developer and construction company. Damn hypocrite.

  3. This has to be the buggest joke. You have a ministry of health yet you continue to allow that dirty water in Lauchland Henry drive to run uncontrolled. How about the ministry spring into action and have the apartment complex correct the issue. I passed there just now and the most they did was to clear the sidewalk. Give me a break…..

  5. Brixty, do you think the PM is in full control of his faculties? I have my doubts. He is reported as saying it takes a few eggs to make an omellette. The eggs in this case are the mangroves and wetlands he has allowed to be destroyed under his watch. When Mother Nature exacts her retribution for the ravishment inflicted on her, the price to be paid will be far higher than that of any hotel or golf course. Antigua and Barbuda have a rod across its back, a burden it cannot bear.

    • To tell you the truth @ oversee, I don’t believe the Prime Minister has any advisors at all, because if he did, they would have told him about his hypocrisy and double-speak on environmental issues in Antigua (and especially issuance and developments particularly in Barbuda).

Some people have a mentality to litter any where because someone is cleaning it, carnival time people party and dirty the city and the cleaners clean it up quickly but after that we have some nasty people without and civic pride. We will have bins every 10 feet apart but still they refuse to use them. What I find to be real annoying also is school children doing it also

  7. The way Antigua look is a reflection of the government. Garbage not collected for weeks. Dont blame the people that elected you for leadership and proper management.

  10. Gaston Browne,how about them Mangroves that Yida removed at Crabbs Peninsula? My guess,he respected the environment.He who was suppose to spend heavily in Antigua.What has happen to YIDA,YOUR savior.He broker than the former owners of DELUXE.

  12. I suggest we start taking pictures and post them up on the news, and charge them and 2nd offence to community service for a month, make them help clean the environment.

  15. Advisors! What advisors? He shouldn’t need advisors to tell him the destruction of mangroves is a danger to the environment and can have serious consequence in the future. This is schoolboy stuff. He then waltzes off abroad to make speeches on climate change and its impact on small island states while doing exactly what should not be done in his own homeland. This man has a gall to be lectutring others on climate change or anything else come to it. Something’s not right with him.

  16. Gaston Browne is a maestro who plays black people not just like a fiddle but beat them like drums. When the heat is on; Gaston is dishing out blame.

    The man who has represents booby Alley; what is the most physically disgusting community in the Country is saying some Antiguans.

    The Man Gaston who has conspired, enabled and approved the destruction of the environment from coast to coast and in Barbuda, is saying some Antiguans.

    Gaston will say and get away with the most incredulous things, so long as the media gives him a pass.

    Gaston has just knighted two individuals in their differing roles. The Hoteliers and the AG.

    How quickly did the AG office send a threatening letter to Barbudans concerning their actions to keep access to the beach at Barbuda Cottages.

    Gaston will continue to say and do what suits him, for there is no local independent media.

    It’s time for the media to react with a series of in-depth articles which documents of environmentally destructive activities; and details the many instances when Gaston turned a blind eye but was an enabler.

    After Gaston has shown disregard, and neglect as a practice for the environment in Antigua and Barbuda, he squeals like a pig about the impact of global warming on small island states.

    BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THE PRIVY COUNCIL RULING. IT WON’T BE LIKE THE LAST TIME AROUND.
    IT WILL USHER IN A NEW DAY; AND THE PIG WILL BE SQEELING.

  17. The littering is all part of the culture that has been allowed to develop under the labour government. Even when people put their garbage in containers, the garbage is not collected for weeks. Gaston likes to shame and blame when his government is not doing what they were elected to do.

  18. It is high time our news reporters do a better job of exposing this clown when he utters his hypocritical rantings. It is not enough to just parrot what he says when we know the man just lies
    Come on! The recordings are there. This man has no credibility. yet he pappyshows himself on the world stage “testifying “about climate change. I know the international community laughs at this idiot. Just show pictures or excerpts from YIDA, Barbuda and better yet, Booby Alley.
    I am reminded of a description of someone:” he has no place in the truth because there is no truth in him: when he tells a lie, he is expressing his own nature, for he is a liar. ”
