DOMINICA NEWS ONLINE: The Government of Dominica expresses sincere condolences to the family of Dominican cyclist Bram Sanderson who lost his life in a motorcycle accident in the early hours of Sunday morning in Antigua.

This was according to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit through a Facebook post.

According to reports from Antigua News Room, the accident occurred on the Sydney Walling Highway and American Road at around 3 a.m. on August 13.

It was reported that Sanderson, 30, was pronounced dead en route to the hospital.

“Sanderson represented Dominica as a cyclist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and in the sport of kayaking,” Skerrit said. “He was an all-round athlete who excelled in track and field and basketball.”

Furthermore, he said his government extends sympathies to the sporting fraternity and all who mourn his passing.

Meantime, the government also wishes a speedy recovery to the second accident victim, Dominican national Daniel Jno Baptiste of Portsmouth who is presently a patient at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.

Both men were traveling on a motorcycle, reportedly from west to east, while a pick-up truck was traveling from north to south as they approached the intersection.

The Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene within four minutes of receiving the call. Still, reports are that the impact left Sanderson with severe injuries, and he died despite efforts by the EMS team.

Jno Baptiste was sent hurtling over the fence at Harney Motors and onto the compound.

  1. Roosevelt Skerrit have the audacity to open his mouth. Better go tend to your business. You and Gaston Browne involved with the kidnapping and trafficking of Mehul Choksi. That story not done yet. We will know how much money you all get paid to get Choksi out of Antigua and the best part is you both failed. We will know where all your monies came from. Two flea bag dutty dogs.

From the security video, look like Bram decide to run the red light and pass a car that was stopped at it. I feel sorry for the passenger who now in hospital. No remorse for Bram who made the decision to endanger lives and ride like a complete idiot.

  2. You have no remorse because the man wasn’t your family…..why you have to bring in Choksi in a condolences message …..U sound like a real illiterate…..just your name says it all.
