Prime Minister Gaston Browne recently provided an update on the status of the Economic Recovery Committee in a parliamentary session.

The establishment of the committee was first announced in the 2024 National Budget.

He stated that the committee was an ad hoc entity created to tackle issues of economic development and strategize responses to challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The committee has completed its task, producing an “excellent report” on its findings and recommendations.

Prime Minister Browne also offered to share a copy of this report with interested members of the parliament, indicating the government’s willingness to disseminate the insights and strategies proposed by the committee.

  1. It will be interesting to know which ones of our Parliamentarians took up the Prime Minister’s 8offer to peruse the report. It’s always good to examine these reports not to nitpick but to know what we got right and where we need to improve.
