  1. So basically, next year is election and there will be an immigrant amnesty. Right, so I guess this is out of the goodness of his heart?

    • Gaston Browne,

Who you think you’re fooling? You are so desperate.Go back and listen to yourself, see if you sound genuine. The problem is, you think Antiguans are stupid, we don’t know any better. I would urge the foreigners to take it if he really throw out the bone during election time but don’t get caught in the trap. Don’t vote for him. The same should go for anyone who receive hand out during election season. Let us show him we are not stupid. Tek wha you can get and vote no. That’s the smart thing to do.

  2. Lol anything for a vote .
The Dictator burn so many, now here comes part of the makeup.
Should get a few thousand from it but even they should see through the evil veil.
He’s not doing it because he cares about them he’s doing it to get votes from elsewhere enough maybe to sway the balance of power.

  3. Why quote scriptures talking about by the sweat of brow one should eat bread? You Want everybody to eat bread and put people out of work for months because of vaccination status what kind of hypocritical spirit is controlling this man? Is he a full time hypocrite or part time hypocrite?

  4. The amnesty never end since Benjamin was at immigration. They even have a lay away plan for those foreigners who cannot afford to pay to regularise their status as low as 50 dollars a month and most of them are still in arrears because they are of no use to the nation.

  5. You got to be kidding! Before reading the article, I thought election.

Come on Gaston, you really look pathetic now!

  6. PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS AMNESTY SEE WHAT HAPPEN TO THE BARBUDANS DURING THE TIME OF THE ELECTION ONLY FOR VOTES AFTER THAT WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUFFER

  7. Its about time, because you have person living and working here over 12yrs and she was told they have to wait on amnesty because they had gaps..

  8. The PM is so right….. The country need all hands on deck. More persons in our security net the better it will be for Social Security & its beneficiaries

  9. Wow so many negative comments but quick to point the finger at Donald Trump when he tries to stop this thing, this no border for any thing. When did you fall off your pedestals ??

  10. Strange thing. Gaston only talks about Amnesty around election time. The people that this affects are up to his games and are tired are being used.

  11. No way, no how! AMNESTY? How about all those people that have applied correctly for citizenship, and gone through all sorts of hoops and complied to be accepted LEGALLY?

A couple of people I know had to show birth certificates – as well as their parents -, and other legal documentation to confirm identities, obtain police records from their country of origin to show they had absolutely no criminal records, and pay an absolute fortune in administration fees, taxes and travel expenses.

THOSE THAT ARE GIVEN AN AMNESTY SHOULD GO THROUGH THE SAME DAMN HOOPS – ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE ANY CRIMINAL RECORDS!

  12. Election time draws near. Property Tax arrears waiver will be the next announcement and then Land for Youth. Watch and see. Time for the BIG GIVEAWAY to get votes. Give away government resources to ensure election victory. What a sham!

  13. “hands needed to the develop the country” Gassy the other day you were telling people who couldn’t find work “bun coal and raise pigs”. Your administration fail to expand the economy to provide employment yet to plan to have amnesty. This is not beyond you but this is “carazy”

  14. I tried to get my citizenship sometimes ago,but I was told I have a one week grap, so I’m not qualified, even though I’m here 14 years now,the sad about it, is that the she Officer told me,I didn’t owed for anything,so I have a wait on amnesty,so I said okay….

I’m still waiting on the amnesty due date

  15. Gaston Browne desperate for votes. He’s trying to hold on to his diplomatic immunity at and and all costs. That POS will soon meet his day. In the meantime, our passports will continue to lose value and credibility.

  16. Golf Bravo is taking a page out of the US DEMORAT playbook. Just like in America the boarder will be flooded.

  17. He said he wants the hotels to increase the salaries of the workers. This will never happen when the hotels can exploit the foreigners and non nationals. This Antiguan government is so famous for its amnesty, that I even heard it reported on Guyana news. Guyana deported a lot of Haitians recently. I will tell them the next time they should deport them to Antigua.
