(STATEMENT)
My dear people; let’s reason rationally and not argue.
We have 21 confirmed active cases of COVID, which we are working assiduously to contain and prevent community spread in protection of the health of the population.
Our people have routinely flocked to the beach on public holidays. Recognizing that the potential beach crowding on public holidays represent a significant risk of transmission of COVID; the Cabinet mandated the restrictions of the use of beaches during public holidays, as long as COVID represents a threat to public health.
Beach crowding and the spread of COVID could create a crisis, resulting in illnesses, deaths and the closure of the country including all of beaches for an extended period.
How could anyone without ulterior motive, reasonably argue against the closure of beaches on public holidays, to reduce, or eliminate the risks of the transmission of COVID ?

Gaston, you just getting people more, and more fustrated!!!! That’s all you do!
People lost there incomes, lost jobs, don’t know how they are going to pay the bills, or even buy food…and you think closing the beaches will get things better????
Active cases are supposed to be isolated…or did I miss something?
People still go to the beaches, but not the usual ones…
and they gather, with no mask, and not respecting social sistencing, have music, and barbecues elsewhere.
Stop your nonsense, put your acts together, open your eyes, and try to be a leader, not a bully with his own agenda.
The economy is not going to get any better, with your beaches closing, or locking down the country again!!
For once, try to think out of the box, use your brain…
Lmao use his brain the guy is a failure, the economic powerhouse has nothing to offer it’s citizens. Gaston Brown is a failed experiment on the people of Antigua and Barbuda. This man has announced more projects in six years and none come out the ground. Any box he will be thinking out of is the safe deposit box at Global Bank, he need to start spending the CIP monies on the people. Take our money out of the offshore bank over 2 billion.
Another pre 2004 trickery…. can’t work again… where is the proof of offshore accounts? You see Observer, Knight, Serpent and the rest just continue the nonsense for more than 15years ago….. we will not be fooled … you knight looking for your payback from investing your savings in Observer Radio…. Upp promise y’all all the advertisements, so you can get back your money if they win…. thats why you can cuss Geselle Issac… they own you now Knight…. Geselle just had to call in one night and mess you up….. you can’t call her name..little boyish Knight
Top dawg puppy I am not the one that said I had to go into a CIP account at Global Bank to pay salaries and wages for September and October 2019. This is the problem I have with you red koolaid drinkers, you all don’t read just follow the old renegades blindly.
have you read or watch the news lately? You see whats happening in Bahamas?
You see what has happened in florida?
The reason for these places to be in the situation there’re in is because the leaders there wasn’t doing what PM Browne doing….. we will have a proper winter tourist season….. some people only think about partying and not the well-being of all the people… .thats PM Browne and the rest of the Government’s job
Please help
If the 21 cases are imported cases….
And the 21 cases are in isolation……
And there is no community spread……
And MP Molwyn Joseph is handling the 21 cases best in this hemisphere.
Tell me after all that how going to the beach will cause a spread if the cases are imported and isolated?
Can COVID19 be caught and spread in a bubble or bio facility? Can COvID19 be caught in a place where it does not exist?
Can you get COVID19 from hearing the word Covid19?
Please Help
was the policeman isolated before he was tested?
They are people with covid19 walking around thats not tested… stop thinking only about partying
@Advice Block
Where and when did the Police contract the disease if according to the MP that is the best in this hemisphere there is no evidence of community spread? Answer that
If I were in Antigua today.I would be on the Beach,Long Bay.Perhaps I would be arrested. That is what I would want.Because I would get a high priced Caribbean Jurist to fight that Law.That apartheid, discriminatory Law.Where Tourists could go to the Beaches at will on Public Holidays. However,Nationals,Citizens and Residences cannot go to the Beaches on Public Holidays. They are using the cover of the State of Emergency. They are making the Nation into a Military/Police State with the Emergency. That would be on our necks, stomach and backs for the next 3 months.I say no.It must not and should not be allowed to happen. We are back on that Plantation.Let us pick up ourselves dust ourselves off.Start living our lives again. We do not need Aaston Browne and or anyone else telling us.What we can do and or could do.
Boss you not in Antigua and want to comment on everything that goes on here…. I’m just hoping you’re following the protocols where ever you are in the world…. its ironic that you want to come here and break the protocol knowing what this has caused all over the world , but you claim to love Antigua but want that same damage done to its people….. Sad
@NON ADVICE BLOCK: I am a born National of Antigua and Barbuda. My navel string was buried there.I have all of the rights like all others to speak on matters in Antigua and Barbuda.Regardless if you agreed and or disagreed.I would have gone to the Beach, yesterday.I would challenged that piece of legislation in the Courts.Banning me a National from the Beaches. While so called Tourists.Could go to the same Beaches from which we the people are banned. That is a very unwise Cabinet Order.Where are all of those so called Lawyers in Antigua and Barbuda with backbones. There is not one danger in going to the Beach and swim around. All of a sudden all of you are experts.Using the buzz word protocols. Are those Tourists abiding by your DAMN PROTOCOLS?
All the cases of covid is imported. “We have to learn to live with covid” I once hear “the borders must be open”. If the beaches should be closed everything else should be also because everything is a risk. I havent seen any significant trend with alot of deaths in this country for us to be living in fear, neither do i want to see ,If measures are put in place to stop community spread those lock down on the beaches is not necessary . Every holiday no beach ! laws that is contrary to the natural laws of God is totally demonic to opress and divide the people.(talking about social distancing) New World Order . Covid gets the blame for their agenda . People smoke and drink alcohol and i never hear lets ban the substance so we could have a healthy nation. I come to realization its wealth over health in their minds.
are you an idiot? I someone is asymptomatic and went on the beach with a bunch of people(holiday style) and that person catches a fresh cold there sneezing up the place, that don’t sound scary to you? GOOD JOB BY THE GOVERNMENT SO FAR… St. Kitts is now trying to follow Antigua step by step for their reopening…. watch and see
Residents are being “asked” by the Gaston regime. But it’s ok for tourists to go on the beaches.
I hope all those who voted their dictator in are happy with his “performance”.
UNCONSTITUTIONAL
no tourist was on the beaches yesterday….. we personally checked all the tourist perfered beaches and there were none so stop the lies
@Non Advice Block:
You could not see clearly. Was it a foggy day? Or perhaps the fog was so thick,it impaired your vision. You Red Kool-Aid drinkers are all the same.Did Aaston Browne spit into your mouth, also.
Some people are paid to comment. They live in fear and are biased.
