Prime Minister Gaston Browne has denounced vulgarity on social media.
“They have a particular guy — I’m not going to waste my time to call his name — he’s somebody I don’t wish to engage, he’s so vulgar,” Browne told Pointe FM.
“When you hear the amount of expletives, and people say that they’re following him, I’m like, ‘Guys, what’s the matter with you guys?’ The dude is crazy. I mean he sounds as though he’s on crack, cocaine; and that is what [people seem to be following] at this time.”
“When you bring to the attention of the population that these people are ill-equipped to govern, they try to make a counter claim that we’re elitist in our thinking,” he said.
“I don’t see how anybody would consider someone like me who has been well grounded all my life — I have never bragged about my economic or educational achievements. I’ve remained grounded, but at the same time I do value competence. And there’s no way that I’m going to allow anybody who doesn’t have a level of competence to at least run a Ministry to run on my ticket. I’m sorry, because it’s not just about winning a seat, it’s about having a team of individuals who have the capacity to do the type of critical thinking and to have the work ethic in order to produce and to advance the country.”

Just like food baskets are being offered as part of the stimulus programs around the region, so its also happening here. Just like ensuring persons with Covid can easily access hospital services when needed are part of stimulus packages, so also is it here. AB also offers cash grants as part of or covid program, as it is in some developed countries. Covid testing for those in need of said testing is also part of or program as it is in many countries. Point is its clearly a lie to suggest that the government of AB has implemented no program to deal with covid
