PM Criticizes Opposition’s Lack of Developmental Plans for St. Peter

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has criticized the opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) for what he described as a lack of substantive developmental plans for the St. Peter constituency ahead of the by-election.

Speaking on the government’s vision for the area, Browne highlighted the administration’s ongoing roadworks and proposed infrastructure projects as evidence of their commitment to tangible development.

“Our government has a detailed plan for St. Peter, including roadworks, the community center, and sports facilities,” Browne said. “In just a few weeks, we’ve done more road repairs than all previous representatives combined.”

In contrast, the Prime Minister described the opposition’s campaign as focused on personal attacks rather than meaningful proposals.

“The UPP candidate spent his entire time on the platform talking about me and the Labour Party, without presenting a single plan for the constituency,” Browne said.

The government’s plans include the construction of concrete roads and enhancements to community infrastructure, with designs already prepared for projects such as the Parham Sports Development Complex.

Browne commended the ABLP’s candidate, Rawdon Turner, for his proactive approach. “Turner has demonstrated his commitment through consistent engagement with residents and a clear vision for St. Peter,” he said.

Browne urged voters to prioritize candidates with actionable plans.

“This election isn’t about personality or rhetoric; it’s about who can deliver real results for St. Peter,” he said.

The St. Peter by-election has become a focal point for both parties, with infrastructure and community development emerging as key issues in the campaign.

  1. I always heard that this guy is certified and it’s evident in his daily ramblings. No other Political party has ever had a parliamentary representative for St. Peter’s in more than half of a century but the ALP and the constituency has looked the same up till this very day. He has presided over a government for some 10 years consecutive years and has ignored the area until he found a willing partner in his brother-in-law to excavate the rich limestone from the hill which is government owned and in turn, sell tat same product to the government at an exorbitant after purchasing it for pennies. The document will be published soon. Stay tuned.

  2. The ALP has been in power for over 70 years in aggregate and he have the gall to be talking about lack of development plan for the area.
From Joseph Mayers in the 50’s all representative, in one way or the other that represented the area in parliament has been ALP members. I guess low IQ and low information voters in that area will continue to be swayed by his BS.

  3. At the start of the gaston clown administration time in office in 2014 the clown admitted that he have a strong level of lunacy in his family so I would not even bother to try and understand how this clown can be so stupid!
