PM calls regional counterparts to reconsider “nonsensical decision” on travel bubble

6

Prime Minister Gaston Browne  called on his fellow regional Heads of Government to re-think their participation in the OECS travel bubble.

Grenada and St. Kitts & Nevis are two states in the sub-grouping to publicly withdraw from the bubble.

“I think it is a nonsensical decision and I do hope my colleagues will reconsider their decision,” Browne told Pointe FM today.

The bubble would have allowed OECS nationals to travel in participating states without the need to mandatory quarantine.

Prime Minister Browne says he does not understand the decision of his colleagues since the negative PCR test is still required.

He said it is strange that some of these countries are now allowing  visitors from COVID hotspots but wont allow their own neighbours to move.

Browne said given the rate of infection of COVID-19 in the OECS the risk of infection is relatively low.

  1. Again for those who talk about test, when did any kind of test determine life. For years doctors send me for tests but the true determination is based on either the medication or the adjustment whether exercise, not smoking, the beach etc.
Mia and SKN are not foolish, they know that the antigua scenario is sugarcoated cause, thats what happens, leaders sugarcoat so followers remain loyal. So Mia and SKN are making the adjustments instead of relying on a test.

  2. In the Caribbean the way the US is being ostracized in the rest of the world because of the failure of bad leadership to appropriately protect citizens during this pandemic

Both clown leaders of US and Antigua put money over people’s health

    • This makes so much sense. Yes, rather than foolishly let in caribbean Nationals, let’s let in UK citizens who have hundreds of thousands of confirmed cases, and millions more that are waiting to be tested

  3. Did Gaston Browne really used the words “Nonsensical Decisions”. To described the decisions made by his Caribbean Counterparts. How could those Leaders deal with him.He was one of the decision makers. To have LIAT made a ceremonial flight to Dominica on November 1st,2020.He had the power to stop that flight in its tracks and failed to do so.The costs were paid for with poor taxpayers money. He has the gumption to talk about others and their Nonsensical Decisions.Look into that mirror.I think you are being fooled by that moustache.
