PM Browne Urges InterCaribbean to Improve Safety Amid Technical Issues

14

Prime Minister Gaston Browne criticized InterCaribbean for frequent technical issues causing safety concerns among travelers.

Flight 713 to Barbados faced a technical problem after takeoff from Dominica, circling before safely returning.

Browne emphasized the need for better maintenance, citing a previous engine failure incident in Antigua.

He expressed relief that no harm occurred but voiced worry over the rising frequency of such incidents, urging the airline to improve safety standards.

InterCaribbean confirmed the precautionary engine shutdown in Dominica, ensuring passengers’ safety and arranging another flight for their convenience.

Emergency procedures were followed, and services were on standby.

Browne’s remarks highlight the importance of addressing these issues to restore confidence in the airline’s safety measures.

  1. Why brown don’t shut the hell up… you studying one man operation and not studying yours? PAY THE EX LIAT WORKERS THEIR SEVERANCE IF YOU DONT WANT KARMA TO FOLLOW YOU BIG HEADED BITCH!

  2. gaston clown shut to Fu k up and study liat 2020 that can’t even piece a proper plane together.

  3. I hope if and I say if and when this venture ever get off the ground and anything happened that browne boy ass is held accountable.

  4. Intercaribbean seems to have some serious issues…. if it’s not delays it’s engine failure. I ain’t traveling on that airline

  5. Seems like his statements are an unseemly attempt to shift attention from LIAT’s failures, to another airline.
Why go out of his way to make comments about safety issues for Inter-Caribbean? All airlines at some point do have flight ptoblems to which they have to respond promptly. Inter-Caribbean is flying. When will LIAT 2020 start its operations?
Rather than gloating about issues experienced by Inter-Caribbean, the PM should focus his attention to improve roads, health care facilities, water, electricity and internet services, airport runaway and airport facilites, pay LIAT severance, get LIAT back in the air, and the multitide of other problems which need to be fixed in Antigua and Barbuda.

  6. Gaston Browne, focus on LIAT 2020.For they are having issues with landing gears.Focus on your house and clean it up. Before you tell your neighbors to clean up theirs.

  7. Gaston Browne, focus on LIAT 2020.For they are having issues with landing gears.Focus on your house and clean it up. Before you tell your neighbors to clean up theirs. Are you too lob foo tell people wa foo do.And no bady can tell you wa foo do.

  8. PM there is a bigger issue. It is time that governments in the Caribbean take the responsibility for the safety of their nationals flying on planes that take passengers from their countries. LIAT had one of the finest records in the world for safety because of their strict maintenance rules. I have friends who are aircraft engineers who have advised me not to fly InterCaribbean. The faults will be papered over and the high priced PR Company they have retained in Barbados will flood us with their propaganda and the issues will soon be forgotten. Ultimately Mia Mottley will have to take the blame as she was the one who brought them in to administer the final rights over LIAT.

    • Hey there Otto. Do you also have friends that tell you “it is better to keep your mouth shut and be taken for a fool than to open it up and proven as one”? Have your so called engineers physically inspected IC planes to make these pronouncements? You people deserve Gaston as a leader. Just pure ignorance!

      • You be the idiot and not take precautions with an airline that aircraft engineers are afraid to fly on…just because they have not “physically inspected IC planes”. Does common sense not still apply?

  9. This is the fool voters put their trust in to move the country forward..I will tell y’all this, it will be continues termile and headaches for the twin island for the next 4 years..nothing will get done in a positive way, nothing, and that goes for this Lait venture, because it’s a farce.

That deal will never fully materialize, because there is actually no deal with Air Peace, it’s all a lie and total propaganda.

Ask yourself this..why haven’t anyone seen the written contract, why? Neither the opposition or any public officials.

This man is a Liar and continuously try to deceive the people of Antigua..
But what’s in the dark must come to light,so we will soon see.

  10. United flies to Antigua. Why did the PM remain silent after the recent series of technical issues with United Airlines.. just asking
