PM Browne to attend Coronation of Antigua’s Monarch King Charles lll

The world leaders are set to attend the highly anticipated coronation of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, which will take place on May 6, 2023.

The ceremony will mark the official ascension of Charles to the British throne, following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022.

The list of attendees is expected to include some of the most prominent figures in global politics, with Gaston Browne, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, among them.

Browne is known for his progressive policies on climate change and international cooperation, and his presence at the coronation is seen as a symbol of the importance of the Commonwealth in the modern world.

However, it’s worth noting that Antigua and Barbuda have recently suggested that it is ready to replace the British monarch as head of state with a president, thereby ending a centuries-old link to the British Crown.

Other world leaders who have confirmed their attendance include US Vice President Kamala Harris, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Representatives from the European Union and the United Nations are also expected to be in attendance.

The coronation will take place at Westminster Abbey, one of London’s most historic and iconic buildings. It is expected to be a grand affair, with a procession through the streets of London and a traditional banquet at Buckingham Palace.

King Charles III, who will be 74 at the time of his coronation, has pledged to continue the work of his mother in promoting the interests of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. He is also expected to use his position to advocate for action on climate change and to promote greater understanding between different cultures and religions.

The coronation of King Charles III promises to be a historic event, with world leaders from around the globe coming together to mark the beginning of a new era in British history.

  4. That man Gaston Browne is going to England. I cannot believe what I am reading. He would be finding all of the cameras. He thinks he is a friend of King Charles III. Remember he was a very good friend of the Canadian Prime Minister,Trudeau. Then what happened, the people of the Nation needs Visas to go to Canada. That was next levels of friendships,NOT.

    • Quite the opposite if Pringle was prime Minister…he would be playing hide and seek with the reporters and cameramen…oh sorry Burford wouldn’t have a job under UPP.

  5. Our prime minister and I assume his wife would never miss this glorious occasion. No matter the state of the finances. Time to shake down some rich people and wifey can probably beg for “Charity”
It is going to costs the treasury a pretty piece though, with first class flight and hotel accommodations. Is the GG also attending?Let the civil servants eat back and neck.
