The Derricks were allowed to leave with plenty of government debt. They owned APUA millions of dollars. They did not pay in the Social Security, Medical Benefits and Education Levy from their employees. They didn’t pay in their ABST. And the list goes on. I hope this NEWSCo is not allowed to do the same. Every other company is adhering to the laws of the land. Why shouldn’t they? Before taking over a business you need to do a feasibility study to see what changes for survival you have. The Derricks kept the doors open by not paying their taxes. ZDK was in a similar situation. Radio broadcasting is not a lucrative business. You need donors to keep you afloat. When they started NEWSCO they had plenty of donors. I wonder what happened to them. Each program needs to pay for itself. Which I know Jojo does. And so does Darren.
