PM Browne hails ‘resounding show of confidence’ in his administration on labour day

Prime Minister and ABLP leader, Gaston Browne says his party has delivered a resounding response to pronouncements from the main opposition United Progressive Party of a lack of confidence in his administration.

Prime Minister Browne made the comments at the VC Bird Bust as the union and the party it spawned marked Labour Day 2022.

The country’s trade unions held traditional activities to mark the occasion for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the first time since 2019, large crowds attended face-to-face rallies for Labour Day celebrations.

Supporters of the Antigua Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU) and the ruling ABLP administration gathered at the VC Bird bust from 9 a.m.

  1. The upcoming #Elections are much closer, than the PM and the ABLP want to admit.

    A…many voters who are ‘on the fence,’ the #Independents and the youths who are voting for the first time are making their decisions, on the #ISSUES of the day(now) and not on the #Shit-Cart energy being sent forth, by the ABLP.

    B…On the other hand, the ABLP is relying heavily, on the “cheap Labour vote,” the ones #WHO’RE receiving AMNESTY and replacing workers at the lower end of the work force with grandiose promises, and fly by night MOU’s! .

    C…The #SHIT-CART politics designed, funded and implemented by the ABLP could be the #BOOMERANG which will end up at their door steps, come Election Day!

  2. THE ABLP PARADE WAS PATHETIC. IT CONSISTED OF MAJORETTES WHO PROBABLY RANGED IN AGE FROM 7 TO 15. THEY TOOK UP NEARLY A BLOCK.
    THEN TO STRETCH OUT THE PARADE, THEY HAD 10 CARS. COUPLED THAT WITH A HALF DEAD BAND.
    IT WAS NOT THICK.
    IT WAS THIN.
    I WAS PERSONALLY SURPRISED! I REALLY THOUGHT THAT THEY COULD HAVE MUSTERED MORE PEOPLE.

    I FELT EMBARESSED FOR THE ABLP. THE PEOPLE ON RED WERE LOOKING SAD.

  4. If Gassy call the election before the 30th of September 2022, then his promises to the electorate about the new water system is a diversionary tactic and lie, because it cannot be done in time.

    If Gassy calls the election after the 30th of September 2023, he’d better have the system in place, then he MAY have a chance.

    But PM, stop taking us Antiguans for fools … IT’S SO CONDESCENDING!

  6. Somebody should have asked most of the people how far they went in school and whether they born in Antigua. You and we know your people.

    • If you know me and my people then you have all the facts. You spouting ignorance about where I was born. Come to the altar and bring forth your truth. You profess that you know my educational accomplishments. Speak up. Let the people know your hypothesis and well go from there.

  7. All you hypocrites say the same thing last election and your bad mindedness party (UPPITES) almost got no seed. You’ll continue your foolishness as usual. Honest, that have eyes to see that the ABLP supporters were enthusiastic and larger in attendance. The tapes don’t lie. The idea that plenty Children were and can’t vote is coming from people that lost their brains in the rear ends. Please asked, does these Children have parents that can vote? Please stopped being idiotic.

  8. Ask the parents. Are you and your family better off today than you were 8 short years ago. What about your relatives, neighbors and community. Has it grown for the better of all? Are you able to take a nice long shower after a day of work? Can you wash your dishes, clean your home, car, hydrate yourself and your family.

    You have your beautiful vehicle. Are you dodging craters to avoid serious damage to your vehicles . Can you rely on this present government to be transparent, upfront and accountable for its failures?

    Stick to the issues. Not who is “limply” “spent force”. Who do you trust to deliver the necessary programs, investments (locally) to uplift the population to a standard of living that is comparable to any country in the region. Those are the issues. What have gotten oven the last 8 years and 2 months?

    Ground fakings, political interference and intimidation, deflection, promises unkept, a malnourished brain of a so called PM.

    Last, I’ll leave with this edict . A government that has failed to plan for the worst case scenario. Is a government with no plan at all. I.E. drought. No contingency plan to tackle the most basic necessity of human existence. WATA!
