Prime Minister Gaston Browne urged young people in Antigua and Barbuda to seek honest employment rather than turning to crime, noting that there are job shortages in sectors like construction.
He warned that those choosing a life of crime do so at their own risk and stressed that able-bodied individuals should contribute productively to nation-building.
Browne emphasized an “all of society” approach to tackling crime, involving every citizen.
He highlighted the importance of effective parenting, the roles of churches, schools, social workers, and community activists in positively engaging youth.
He called for unity in fighting crime, urging citizens and residents to support law enforcement by sharing information to help apprehend criminals.

What opportunities? Have you created any in 10 years? All you ALP clowns do is continue to pack the public sector to secure votes. Pussy Salad does APUA, Chet Green Ministry of Trade and so on. The wage bill continues to grow because the DAWG cannot bring any lucrative business here ,and he talks about honest opportunities. Such a joke.
The ABLP created the problem in the first place, with the porus borders, letting everyone from all walks of life to stay in power they never knew it will turn out this way or they don’t care. Just imagine at times immigration will deny entry on some criminals from entering and a phone call to a minister will change the outcome.
I am not saying there is no criminal from this island but alot are imported from long time to help in ABLP election plan to stay in power.
This government have destroy the country because of greed. Look what they offered to the youths whose minds are fragile smoke weed all you like.
No programs to equip the youths and encourage the youths to stay away from drugs. They created the problem.
We have to confess ABLP have destroyed the country, but we have to work together and those in power need to take advice
we don’t have self enrichment opportunities like you did for your family and cronies. look how you let 50 Venezuelans cone in to refurbish Carlisle Bay because they aren’t governed by or labour code..
