Prime Minister Gaston Browne has reacted to a court victory for Asot Michael.
Browne told Antigua News Room “Asot Michael is using the court to delay the confirmation of Rawdon Turner.
However, this too shall pass.
The ABLP will correct any procedural breaches that may have existed in the appointment of Comrade Turner and move immediately thereafter to confirm him as the ABLP candidate for St Peter, at the next general elections.
We maintain that Asot Michael will not be a candidate on the ABLP slate at the upcoming polls.”

Unlike the Dictator Gaston the UPP follow the democrat processes of its Constitution to elect its candidates. Sherfield Bowen, Shawn Nicholas and another candidate were involved in the primary to select the candidate and Bowen won. The UPP selection process is very different to that of the ALP where Gaston decides who is the candidate as he did with Daven Joseph and Michael Browne and Alincia Grant and his wife Maria Browne. Asot is a virus that the ABLP can’t cure. This one bad apple will spoil the entire bunch of The PM doesn’t toss him to the curb ASAP. Asot doesn’t run ish. This is a minor set back but come high or low ASOT MUST GO!
You can’t curse the ABLP, take them to court, and expect them to welcome you with open arms.
