PM Browne affirms support for Guyana Territorial Integrity

DUBAI, UAE – 3rd November, 2023…….The attention of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda has been brought to a story published on December 3rd, in an internet news portal called, “Antigua News”, which attributed certain remarks to Prime Minister Gaston Browne, regarding Guyana and Venezuela.

The Prime Minister affirms categorically that his position, and that of his government, aligns fully with the public statement of CARICOM issued on December 1st,  which recognises the territorial integrity of Guyana and supports the process at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as the legal and peaceful means of dealing with this matter.

The Prime Minister said that his government rejects aggression of any kind, and insists that the Caribbean region must remain a zone of peace in the interest of the well-being and prosperity of the region’s people.

The Prime Minister added that, as recently, as yesterday he spoke with the Presidents of Brazil and Cuba asking them to urge President Maduro to respect the decision of the ICJ.

  1. This is sooooooooo concerning for our region… This is all about power, greed and politics. God come quickly!

  2. Is Venezuela’s Maduro looking for trouble? That he is surely going to get.He wants to be wrong and strong like many of his counterparts in that Region.Guyana now has oil and he does not like that. After all,he ran a thriving oil and gas economy into the gutters. The people of Venezuela cannot even buy the daily staples for their survivals. What a damn shame.

  3. What has gone wrong with mauduro and Gaston, Mr.Browne you are playing Russian roulette, joining with mauduro In the dark and in public supporting Guyana. Gaston Browne you found yourself between a rock and concrete

  4. Not it was Baldwin Spencer that borrowed 50 million dollars from Maudure’s Venezuela. Just as how he defended Venezuela against Trump, he’s now defending Guyana against Venezuela.
    That’s being straight and upright.

  5. Iman, relax, this government matters, hold your lane. Government I see acts not only in the interest of their individual selves but also in the interest of its people as a whole.
This right here is by law correct and the right thing to do, when you’re wrong you’re wrong and PM Gaston Browne is doing the right thing despite of any affiliation with Venezuela.

  6. PM Browne versus The BARBUDANS!
    Maduro versus The Guyanese!

    Similar scenarios, with similar outcomes.

Maduro will get the blessings of the greedy and rich folks.
Gaston is getting, the support of the greedy and rich folks.

CARICOM can put sanctions on Venezuela, but that won’t work.

Gaston can send the two(2) spruce gooses from the ABDF – Air Squadron with Calvin Ayre Helicopters to support GT.

Once, the referendum being held on December 15th, 2023 in Venezuela asking its People to decide on who has the Right(s) to the Essiquibo Region, and Maduro will win, the #War_Games will begin.

    #GT_MASSIVE your country WANTS YOU👉🏿🫵🏼🫵🏽👉🏿.

The USA at work in the back. While the media focusses on the front. ExxonMobil is one of the world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas companies. When Chavez came to power he nationalized all the oil industry and that upset the USA Oil Companies and we know how they control the politicians. So they made Venezuela their target.
The country officially nationalized its oil industry on 1 January 1976 at the site of Zumaque oilwell 1 (Mene Grande), and along with it came the birth of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) which is the Venezuelan state-owned petroleum company.

People like Audley Phillip should read and educate themselves about topics they want to comment on.
Just like with Cuba, America is playing a very dirty game here. And it seems as if Maduro is falling for it.

  8. This is going to be interesting for Venezuela left the OAS in 2020 after the US shenanigans trying to overthrow Madero who claimed the other Latin American and Caribbean countries were just US puppet.

Venezuela claim for portions of whst is jungle is not new. It’s decades old but was thwarted by the US control of the other AOS members including CARICOM and US dislike for Venezuela government.

If there is an armed conflict the US will get involved for what it will say is aggressive action against a democratic member of the AOS as well as to call for common action in the event of aggression.

The oil fields are off the shore in the Caribbean Sea. Portions of the most recently discovered areas are clearly offshore of Venezuela but Exxon is claiming it’s one field.

If your mango tree hangs over my fence and drops mango in my yard whose mango are they?

Before we sides in spite of CARICOM
remember what we get from Petro Caribe.

Guyana is only getting 2% of oil revenues; and most Guyanese I’ve spoken too, are resigned to the fact that most of the 2% going into the pockets of the political class.
