4. So, the amnesty period is March to April. When then is the election? We all know that the amnesty is to coincide with the election so that ALP can get the votes of those illegal immigrants who will become legal under the amnesty. That nonsense about needing the Labour force is pure BS, just a cover for the election amnesty. We should soon hear about the property tax amnesty where all arrears of property tax are forgiven. We get that one every election under Gaston. I am surprised anyone pays property taxes anymore. Just sit back and wait for the next election amnesty on property tax.

   • Firstly, you need to write English. If you are a non national and don’t like the jobs available to you, you can go home and do better. You are obviously in Antigua because you can’t do better in your country. Try going to America or Europe with no education or skills and see what minimum wage job you get. Antiguans are in their own country and not in yours.

I hate when people like act as if Antiguans aren’t all over the world doing the same thing as foreigners here not to mention America mostly where they make their babies so that their babies can get citizenship and rights over there not here.        • Same would apply to Antiguans in a foreign country. Plenty of them are working for minimum wage in New York and some of them could do better in Antigua. They like the bright lights of Broadway.

That tells me that election will be in a few months, after amnesty is received by the end of April and the recipients(foreigners) are registered to vote then Gaston will call election. All am saying is that you don’t have to vote ABLP because Gaston tricked you. If he was genuine, he would have done that a few years ago. Vote your conscience, did Gaston care about you before he needed something? Don’t let him insult your intelligence, this goes for all Antiguans who are receiving hand-outs as well. Don’t be fooled by the temporary so-called help. Gaston and his cabinet has much more to gain, income upwards of $10,000 a month, free utilities, massive pension for life, free travel at taxpayers expense, power over your lively hood, trying to limit how you live and much, much more. The hand-out is not worth it. Antiguans are always saying, “at least dem better than the other party”. If Antiguans do not allow any party who become corrupt serve more than one term, they cannot become complacent. Let us wake up before it’s really to late. Gaston, his family and all the parliamentarians already took enough.

    • UPP won’t do that. They need to win over the non nationals to vote UPP. We know labour is depending on their votes. When UPP win the election they won’t send home anybody. They see the future.
