(Press Release)

This morning, an anonymous caller telephoned in a bomb threat to front desk personnel at Pineapple Beach Club Antigua. This incident has been conclusively determined to be a hoax.

The resort suspects the call was made by a disgruntled former employee or contract worker.

The resort takes security issues of this nature very seriously. The call was immediately reported to local police authorities who conducted a thorough search of the property. Nothing out of the ordinary was found.

Additionally, the resort’s security team has confirmed that no unauthorized persons have been seen or reported on the resort property, and normal operations have resumed.

Out of an abundance of caution, resort guests and employees were temporarily directed to move away from the resort’s buildings to facilitate the search of the resort.

There were absolutely no other issues, concerns, or injuries of any kind.

This was a cowardly and misguided attempt to disrupt the resort’s business, and the resort is fully cooperating with local authorities in an attempt to identify the suspect.

  1. Well you have already identified the suspect, haven’t you?:A “former employee or contract worker”. So it should now be easy for you and the police to bring closure to this matter. If not how dare you defame your employees and contract workers like that!
