On Monday afternoon, a pickup truck owned by a resident of Seaview Farm went up in flames, resulting in significant losses.
At 2:54pm, the Fire Brigade received a call, and firefighters from All Saints Station rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they observed the pickup engulfed in flames and immediately began working to extinguish the fire.
Unfortunately, by the time they were able to intervene, the vehicle and its contents had already been destroyed.
The Fire Brigade is currently investigating the cause of the fire, which is believed to have started while the pickup was parked outside the owner’s home.
According to the owner, he had left the engine running while he went inside. It was a neighbour who alerted him to the fire shortly after.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with the aim of determining the exact cause of the fire.
