  1. This utterly wotless and fortunately nepotistic woman has been EMBARRASSED into action because many busy roads in her constituency that I’ve driven through are full of potholes and virtually impassable during inclement weather.

Maria Browne always REACTIVE and never proactive, just like her husband … what he blasted name again?

Anytime there shortcomings are exposed, all of a sudden dem find money, but can’t any money for hardworking Antiguans. How dat go?

  2. nice, but I but the patching up needs to stop!! All Saints road, Fig tree drive and Swetes main road needs major work done

  3. I agree.

I’ll admit, the roads are a sore point for me. If it’s just a patch, I’m cool with that, but when PWD patch a road, its NEVER smooth, and you end up with some bump in the blasted road!

I’m tired of the substandard roads!

  4. From since when doing your job is news, that’s what you’re supposed to do..just like me going to work everyday is not news worthy either.. 😂.

Most of the roads in Antigua, horses couldn’t even run on them without breaking their foot to backside, and this is what Gatson Browne called economic powerhouse?

Solving the crime rate would be more news worthy, since that’s a job that this government has never taken on since these jokers got in power, how about that.

    Bwoi a tell ya.

  5. PLEASE I BEG YOU TO FIX FROM ENGLISH HARBOR TO ST. JOHN’S , NO STUPID PATCH WORK, TOURIST SEASON IS APPROACHING IN NOVEMBER AND THE FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE BEST ONE. WE ARE TIRED OF MASHING UP OUR VEHICLES ON THAT BAD ROAD DRIVING THESE PEOPLE UP AND DOWN

  6. Look, the people are just plain dumb. What, all the time she didn’t know about the roads?
The Pixie has surfaced from her ghost worker, usual stance, to do what? Fade back into hibernation? Please

  7. Y’all need to fix the dead end road in Tyrell’s through the street by the Baptist church, it’s infornt of the last apartment in the street… when the rain fall it’s a whole river at the back there… school children use the area to get to school and it’s scary to see them trying to walk there after school or in the night. Too dark… it looks like a dump for the residents living there. No proper area infront the yard to park their vehicles or even walk to get to their steps, it’s that bad.

  8. At its worst right now. One must drive defensively with our many mad and inconsiderate drivers and avoid potholes. We see no progress.

  9. The Government is fixing roads . Is that really news? That is what your arses should be doing at all times. It is a damn disgrace. That the Ministry of Roads headed by Maria Browne had to be shamed into fixing the damn roads.I am surprised she did not take a picture of herself, driving a piece of equipment for a photo op.

  10. Does anyone else notice that despite numerous attempts to fix them, the roads keep deteriorating? It seems like the higher authorities are not learning from other countries that face similar issues with excessive heat. Instead of continuously patching the roads with asphalt, which is proving to be ineffective, why not consider using concrete for a more lasting solution? If we observe our concrete roads, they have minimal damage compared to the asphalt ones. It’s about time they realize this and make the necessary changes.

  11. Totally agree with you @ Geoffrey Pidduck.

The best advice I was ever given by my driving instructor after passing my driving test (in Europe with a gear shift/stick btw) was when he told me, “to drive defensively, and to always think that the driver in FRONT of you is an IDIOT, and the driver BEHIND you is an even BIGGER IDIOT”.

Sound advice, especially for driving here in Antigua without a shadow of a doubt.

  12. Fixing roads should not be anything for Maria to even want to advertise herself about. I was on the road yesterday trying to get to the Villa Poly Clinic and I did not know where to drive. Every road that we went on was filled with potholes or they were under construction & the contractors leave them just like that. Mark you Ladies & Gentlemen these politicians does not have to maintain one single vehicle that they use out of their very deep back. Irrespective for government use or their personal use, not even some of the Minister’s Secretary use their own vehicles. When the vehicle assigned to them has a problem you and I pays to fix them, so they do not give two Hoots!! My shocks! My bearings for my car bawling murder!! Transport Board Is another Issue for another day. Who know where our Licence money goes🙈
