  1. Community cleanups are always commendable, however this is a clear indication that Solid Waste isn’t doing their jobs and the police aren’t patrolling enough.

    • No this is clear indication how nasty out people are to have their surroundings like this. Unacceptable. I’m shame you be an Antiguan when I see this type of nastiness l. But leadership matters.
      Best Prime Minister ever.

      • SIDELINE:Leadership matters. However, that is not how i measure leadership. He is the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. So why the hell he has to go and clean up garbage? What does that tell you. Please stop drinking that Jim Jones Kool Aid.

          John 13:1-17
          New International Version
          Jesus Washes His Disciples’ Feet
13 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”

7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!”

10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.

12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

          • He has been ignoring his Constituency for decades. Now he has become the garbage clean up man. Is there a Solid Waste Management Company in Antigua. If so,why they do not clean the areas.Welcome to the Chief Garbage Collector,Gaston Browne.

          • Gaston’s GOD complex is real folks, when he has T-shirts printed saying:

“If Gaston can’t fix it, no one can”

What disdainful, ignorant and insulting words from a Prime Minister who hasn’t a clue how to run Antigua & Barbuda.

What this condescending man – with his devilish RICTUS smile – is suggesting is that there isn’t anybody apart from him that can make improvements in the country?

IS THERE A BIGGER FOOL THAN HE?

Furthermore, you only have to look at his lackluster 2 terms in office to witness his lies, falsehoods and inactions that the Prime Minister’s delusions are real.

If Gaston Browne thinks he is some sort of SUPREME BEING or DEMIURGE, he’s in for a rude awakening from the voting public in the not too distant future.

And I can guarantee that his followers see no wrong in him and this pre-arranged photo shoot!

He’s Absolute garbage (and yes, pun definitely intended).

          • … and also witness how this wotless Prime Minister is hands on with the garbage, but hide he self away when it comes to the GROWING crime wave.

I’ve even witnessed other members of goverments around the world (especially in the US and UK, going out and be at presence and observe their own policing to reassure their citizens), tackling crime.

WHY DOES BROWNE KEEP GETTING A FREE PASS HERE?

          • @From The Sideline.
You have now gone way over the top. Tread carefully; God is not mocked, neither by you nor any other mere mortal. Devotion to your leader is one thing, overstepping the mark is quite another. You are comparing Gaston Browne’s photo op actions with what Jesus Christ did to his disciples. I beseech you to rein in your admiration for a very flawed individual in comparison with one whom no human can ever be compared; you know better but your enthusiasm has taken the better of you. You have, as a human, made a grave mistake. To err is human, To forgive is divine. Reflect and be humble. We all make mistakes .

      • @Sideline. What Antiguans? The place is now a Spanish enclave. One can get woman, man ànything at Popeshead street. But then again, you are Antiguan, everyone is now Antiguan. We have picked up the very worst from everywhere and deposited them here for now one of them, you, to try to scorn us!!! Poor Antigua.

  2. Lol! If Gaston can’t fix it no one can that sounds like another Jim Jones Era!
Well done to Richard Lewis to pressure him to clean up. That’s what leaders do make leaders not blame for their failures.
We hope that the clean up spirit will spread like a virus and the citizens will keep Antigua clean and stop the littering making the place untidy.

  3. If Gaston cannot fix it you say,no one else can. Here is what I say. You,the people living in that Constituency are too damn nasty.I am regular visitor to Antigua.I lived in the VILLA AREA AND WENT THROUGH THAT AREA KNOWN AS POINT.Back then those areas were very clean.Last year I drove through those areas of Villa Area and Point. What a damn disgrace with the nastiness and junk cars parked on all streets.Gaston Browne is just trying to look good.To say he is doing something in that Constituency, cleaning up garbage.Joke of the freaking year.

  4. We know that we have gone astray when we have chosen an alternative God; some people are glorifying this Demon through message on garments that they wearing and TENMAN doing the honours through scripture. However, I forsee a snap election. NERO is not prepared to trust another by-election, especially after that frightening challenge that Alex Browne posed in St.Philips North.

  5. Lauchland Henry drive is a mess with the waste water from the apartment complex . MINISTRY of Health is silent on this issue.

  6. Wow, wonders will never ceased! Shuggy got Gaston reduced to clean rubbish, will we see Maria getting her hands dirty in her consistency, or could the mad man gearing up for a snap election? UPP shine your eyes and be prepared for the unexpected.

The buffoon and his advisors Should get the ministry of public works to recruit temporary workers, or better still get inmates from 1435 to earn their keeps whilst residing at the Palace of 1435 to engage in doing community work such as cleaning the streets.

The Kingted AG should introduced Community Services Bill that would give magistrates the authority to sentence young criminals to community services such as keeping our streets and beaches clean.

Instead they have the buffoon PM making mock ah may of himself and is idiotic supporters praising him for his acts of foolishness. What a joke 🙄 😒 !

  7. I challenge all dem RUMSHOP Radio clowns to put on some water boots and walk a day in the boots of APUA Wata division worker. Put on a pair of lineman boots and a hard hat and spend another day chasing faults in the electrical grid.

Spend an hour in the hot sun laying cement blocks or worse pouring concrete. Maybe then will the foxes guarding the hen house drunk on wine will get what it takes to be responsible.

  8. MR. PM, GO HELP THE WOMAN WHO LIVES IN THE BURNT OUT HOUSE NEXT TO YOUR OFFICE WHO’S CHILD WAS ATTACKED BY A PIT BULL. SHE HAS 5 KIDS AND NEEDS YOUR HELP DESPERATELY.
LEAVE THE CLEANING UP TO OTHER PEOPLE WHO NEED THE WORK.
    HELP THIS FAMILY. PLEASE.

  9. His constituency is a garbage dump ànd one weekend won’t get it cleaned. Let’s see if he continues next week and following weekends.

  10. After being in office for so long Gaston should be ashamed that his constituency is such a shit hole.

Still, small steps are better than none.

  11. IF GASTON CAN’T FIX IT BO ONE CAN.

This is the personification, of ARROGANCE, to INFINITY and BEYOND!

There’s a Thin_Line between CONFIDENCE & ARROGANCE, and therein lies IGNORANCE.

  12. “If Gaston can’t fix it, no one can” “if not Gaston, who” Now From the Sideline thinks Gaston is Jesus. What dumbfounded ignorance.
Gaston’s time will come as he is mere mortal. Jesus still lives on the throne in heaven. So the bible says.
In my view all them people should be moved out of Pointe and the whole place razed.
I wonder how some residential areas have become such filthy ghettos. This is what happens when you bring people into the country and have no decent houses available that they can afford.
When you drive from the airport in DR, take a look at all the shacks in the hills. Take a look at the ghettos in Kingston JA. These are the places where some of the residents in Pointe originate. How many middle class people coming to Antigua?

  13. Some people are so full of hatred, especially some locals. You should do what you can to make this beautiful islad of yours the best, be nice, be clean, be hospitable, show some respect, have some dignity. If everyone keeps fighting down and ripping down whatever good the current government is doing then don’t complain when things are broken and in a mess. Lets all live in the sh*t and be happy.
Just a pack of ignorant arses.

    • @Boom
you may not admit it but Antiguans are all living in the shit. The government has put us so deep in it that we are suffocating. They get away with it because a lot of labour supporters are a pack of ignorant asses.
