  1. Government at work. Soon the Opposition will have nothing to complain but the weather. And that would be Gaston fault too.

  2. @Less We Forget. Why don’t you keep you opinions to yourself. I just don’t understand why you people have to keep injecting negatism into the process. Let something good happen for a change without making it political.

  3. That is just a photo op. What does Anthony Smith know about road works? Is he a Civil Engineer? It is our money at work.

  4. Heheheeee, guilt ah lick Anthony ‘Judas’ Smith. He’s probably now doing MORE for All Saints West than originally planned.

    WHAT AH SOMETING!

    🎶” All Saints Three …🎶”All Saints Three…”

    Heheheeee 🤣🤣🤣

  5. This just proves how Dangerous the Money-Hawk is. He declared that the constituency in which he lost will not get any infrastructural attention, so he ignored all of them, including All Saints West. He ran back to St. Mary’s South during the by-elections and spent millions to secure a win for a traitor, which never happened and now he’s doing the same for another traitor. He’s also focusing on St. Peter in hopes of a win for his business partner. Remember he’s looking for WINNERS and not RUNNERS. Elections are really looming.

  6. @Antiguan,
You’re being must disingenuous. This news portal has been politicized by the contributors since its inception. 80% of the comments are against the government’s attempts to execute project or development during its tenure. Yes, some blunders have been made but the majority of the projects have been in the interest of the country. Everyone seems to blame the current Prime Minister for the air they breathe. How ridiculous. The first contributor is correct with his or her comments.

  7. We are really fools in this country. APUA dug up the road and left deep trenches for several months marking it so dangerous and destructive to people vehicles. Just to put a little asphalt and roll it’s was a photo up is as childish and petty as can be. Worst yet the young man found it such a great achievement that he posted it in his Facebook page .
Let me say that I give no accolades to any politician for standing over PWD workers putting some sugar cake in a highway. The roads throughout the constituency has deteriorated and are in a deplorable state. Hon. Anthony Smith I will not blame you either because you are help no political office during period when it was allowed to deteriorate. Also we need to move away from this type of politics, whereby politicians take praise for work that should be part of the government normal operations. We have a ministry of PWD , with scores of qualified engineers. We have a none preforming minister of PWD. We have a Director of PWD that does absolutely nothing. In fact the PWD engineers are busy working on private Jobs. King has his own road construction business, the red skin , fat one that was very sick during Covid is working for a Serian contractor building private roads and private property during work time. They are using government pickup trucks as their transportation to carry them to these site. They even use government / PWD workers on these job sites. So why should someone that is appointed Minister of agriculture be involved in sugar cake filling.
We have our young men , a generation of youth lost to violence and crime. The smoke of weed is like drinking a soda to the the young men and plenty young women as well.
I am not saying you should not advocate for the infrastructure in your constituency get fixed. What I am saying is that for this country to move forward the relevant authorities need to do their work.
So are you going to stand in All Saints road as well and supervise the repair of the worst road in Antigua, which is in your constituency.
Is it that you are sending a message to the PM that you cannot handle the ministry appointed and would prefer Works.
In fact even before you jumped ship, you showed interest in that area.
OH I got the other engineer name that is out there , with government vehicle , in government time working, constructing roads on private project. His name is CRAIG..
By the way Crump played all the politics to become dictator and now he is in the seat he is looked at as the worst ever director of Works.
PM Browne this guy mindset is one thing and that is to get rich.
Wesley James would have been a super dictator/ administrator. No bullshit and you would have gotten straight up and truthful answers. Not what you want to hear but what you need to hear. King and Craig would not have dear be doing these full time work during government work time with Wesley. Maria would have looked good as an absentee minister.
So Smith your time will be better served doing and meet with the people you betrayed. Face up to them , apologize where necessary. You have people that worked to put you in office and you have not even reached out to them. All you do is bow your head like an Ostrich when you accidentally meet up. If you don’t you will be a one term MP in a growing popular ABLP environment and UPP deterioration. Mark me the few die hard that are singing you praises are nothing. The people you betrayed are just waiting on another election.
You looked foolish in suit , taking pictures, with men putting sugar cake in the road or patching road .

  8. It is reasons such as this why Anthony Smith should have kept as far as possible from the ALP. The constituency has been neglected by this government. The Prime Minister said that he would not look on constituencies which rejected him. This was and is reasons for Smith to keep away. Instead for selfish reasons he jumped in bed with this government. Now to make us believe such great work is happening in the constituency Smith poses with PWD workers as they put some sugar cake in the cavities. What is happening to other areas in the country? If the intentions of this cabal were so noble why haven’t they returned to areas like Belmont and Bolans where they started road works prior ro elections and have not returned since. Should I compare Antiguans to the dog on the bridge over the river with a bone in its mouth and seeing what appears to be another dog with a bigger bone below the bridge? Forgive me for saying it however antiguans are the least educated electorate around the world and will continue to eat crow from our hyena like politicians.

  9. @frankly speaking.

You’re rather angry and bent out of shape. With all of your accusations and observations, what positive contributions have you made or are you making to move our country forward? Name just one thing that you’re proud of.

  10. At least Anthony Smith have a conscience, he put on dark shades to hide his guilt in the constituency , a few people might be set up to approach him to make him look acceptable.

Brix the Opposition always use the excuse that they are not in government, so they cannot do anything. They don’t have access to the public purse to spend money as they like. So now that Anthony Smith is part of the government it would be foolish of him not to lobby his colleagues to have things done in his constituency. And although it is a foolish argument people made I will let it pass this time around. Because it would be politically stupid not to do works in constituencies that the you do not represent. The voters there will despise you more.
