  1. Again??? Didn’t someone die in a similar way at sugar ridge a few years ago? Have Sugar Ridge management and/or the construction companies not realized yet that having those heavy trucks on those steep hills is extremely risky? They aren’t demonstrating much care for their workers…. Glad this one didn’t end in tragedy as well.

  2. Judging from my personal experience. Some on the places on hillsides that some of the neo- speculators want to build palatial dwellings, just for a view to die for: should entail plus hazards pay, for the operators who risk their lives to make deliveries up those steep treacherous hillsides; would have been a foregone conclusion. There should be an OSHA organisation to address and, effect safety concerns relative to construction undertakings on island. The haphazard mode of regulation should not be left for the General Contractor to regulate and enforce, at one’s own will or, lack thereof. A government inspector, with mandate to shut-down a construction project- that does not adhere to best practices and, overall safety concern. It is imperative; and a mandatory component for the enforcement and, compliance to statuary regulations.

  3. Look like the driver learn the hard way about physics.

Ultimately the driver of the vehicle is totally responsible for whatever happens with it. He determines if it is safe or not to proceed. Many of them feel because they bigger than other vehicles, they wrong and strong and think they always have right of way.
