Pharmaceutical Factory in Antigua to Lower Drug Costs in OECS, under consideration

CABINET NOTES:

The Cabinet was advised by the Minister of Trade that a pharmaceutical firm has indicated an interest in establishing a factory in Antigua to produce a number of drugs that are in high demand within the OECS.

The objective being to lower the cost of some drugs that many OECS residents consume. Consultations with Ministry of Health officials are to begin shortly.

    Where are they doing biz now?

    all these meds do is cause further complications further down the line which will lead to the inevitable (death)
    check the age at which our ancestors died, before the pharmaceutical industry took over, when there was a Bush for everything

    • All this negativity. Yuck! People who are already on meds and who won’t be coming off meds as a choice with benefit. Also jobs will be created. Everybody commenting have someone on meds. Weather hypertension or some other disease. It will be cheaper if a factory is here. What’s all this BS about agriculture? Unrelated. Just wanna put a negative spin on everything.
