Pearl Quinn-Williams Withdraws from UPP Leadership Race

1. Pearl knew she had a zero chance of becoming leader of the party. No UPP delegate supported her nomination. Let’s be serious. What does Ms. Williams bring to our party that would make us see her as a strong effective Leader?
   What has she ever lead that makes her qualified.

In her head, she played a significant role in the rejection of the CCJ being our final court of appeal. Only in her head. When the crafters of our constitution penned that option, they made it 2/3 to be certain that the majority of the community would be in agreement with the change. It’s a difficult task from the outset.
     The former leader of the party endorsed the CCJ as he is a trained attorney. So he would have had more sway that my dear cuz could ever have.
     It will be difficult for her to win her seat because of many factors. Therefore, her desire to vy for leadership was rather ambitious, to put it mildly. Gaining traction should be your priority, not jumping ahead of the line.
     I was of the view the HL would have forfeited retirement and infuse himself into the leadership race. Still a possibility, if the deadline has not yet passed.

One wonders at your motive for trying to smear the good lady’s reputation by alluding to her not being a team player. Would you care to know half the things that are alleged about you??? 16. All I would like to say as a native of the soil, I am very disappointed on where Antigua is at the time in life. No running water people are rationing. The politicians are enriching themselves while the poor natives are struggling.
    What have you politicians learned? You travel to all these countries, are you all ashamed of the condition of the country?
    With tourism as the main industry? There’s nothing for us to look forward to when we come home. The town and central areas are run down. Come on Prime Minister and members of government. Take a page from other islands. Jamaica Is progressing, what are you all doing? We want our country BACK!!!
