The Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) is to present “an important report” to the Antigua and Barbuda government on Monday.

A government statement here said that the report will be presented during an informal meeting of Parliament.

PANCAP was established by regional governments in 2001 and provides a structured and unified approach to the Caribbean’s response to the HIV epidemic, coordinates the response through the Caribbean Regional Strategic Framework on HIV and AIDS (CRSF) to maximise efficient use of resources and increase impact, mobilises resources and build capacity of partners.

“The PANCAP Leader has some very important data to share with all of Antigua and Barbuda, and he has been invited to do so in the setting of the Parliament,” the government statement added.

It said also that the next sitting of Parliament will take place on Tuesday, but gave no indication whether or not the PANCAP report would be discussed then.
