Earlier this week, the acting Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), in Dominica, Sherma Dalrymple,  discontinued the case against the 63-year-old Choksi, who had pleaded not guilty to the charge of illegally entering the island, claiming that he had been kidnapped in Antigua and taken to Roseau on May 23, 2021.

He had been released on EC$10,000 (one EC dollar=US$0.37 cents) bail in July last year, so as to allow him to travel to Antigua and Barbuda for medical treatment.

Lovell, speaking on a radio programme here, is now calling on Prime Minister Gaston Browne and National Security Minister Steadroy Benjamin to inform Antiguans about the alleged kidnapping.

“I am calling on the Prime Minister, who came out initially with the fairy tale saying that the gentleman had left on some date or something …he needs to come clean. I am calling on the Attorney General, he overseas law enforcement in Antigua, we have heard nothing from him…I am calling on the Attorney General to come clean,” Lovell said.

The Opposition Leader said that the alleged kidnapping situation could have implications for the island and called on the Commissioner of Police as well to make a statement on the matter.

He said failure to do so by the political directorate and the police head could mean that Antigua and Barbuda could be “seen as a rogue nation…that condones kidnapping.

“If they are willing to engage in this type of activity, who will be next in this country,” he said, calling on the Commissioner of Police to release a report that had been compiled by law enforcement authorities on the kidnapping.

Choksi is wanted by the Indian judicial authorities for criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, cheating and dishonesty, including delivery of property, corruption, and money laundering. CLICK HERE TO JOIN WHATS APP GROUP

    • When Harold Lovell was the deputy PM- a woman was shot dead in BROAD daylight in Heritage Quay on a cruise ships day and you Harold Lovell never tried showing or explaining what happened to the LAW abiding mother of 2. SHOT DEAD IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

      • Firstly, Harold Lovell WAS NEVER EVER THE DEPUTY PM OF ANTIGUA.

The woman’s death was a robbery gone bad.

NIGEL CHRISTIAN’S MURDER WAS AN ELIMINATION DEATH TO PROTECT OTHERS.

IF HE WAS YOUR BROTHER, FATHER , NEPHEW, SON WOULD YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY?

        • @Stand Tall aka ANNA SALOME aka Numbers Man. Tap u lie!!! As if that’s not enough Lovell and his EXECUTIVE of which Charles Tabor is a part, APPROVED SHERFIELD BOWEN For candidate.

          • HELP, HELP, THE SOUL OF THE DEPARTED IS CRYING OUT FOR JUSTICE

      • Is Harold law enforcement to do the police job. Why is it that there are so many unsolved murders in Antigua? Ask your police.

  1. How can it be an “alleged kidnapping of Mehul Choski,” when the RPFAB & REDONDA, have done their initial investigation(s), and concluded, that Choski was forcefully abducted and taken to Dominica?

Their should be an ongoing investigation with the appropriate charges for ALL, not some but #ALL who’re involved with this.

It’s cases such as these, where an agency such as Interpol, FBI under the umbrella of CARICOM can step in and take over these cases. Similar to when there’s a Bank Robbery, KIDNAPPING etc, these cases automatically lands on the desks of the FBI Agency.

  2. As a lawyer he damn well knows the police would never reveal information on an ongoing investigation. Just like with the Custom Officer Christian investigation they challenged the police to give them information.

    • @From The Sideline…yes! Yes! Yes! During any investigation(s) law enforcement do have the right, to withhold information from the general public. However, there are also times, when law enforcement will release certain information during their investigation(s) to solicit the public who will have information, regardless, of how minute, forensically, this info could be the missing link, to solve certain aspects of the case.

One thing is certain, Choski did not voluntarily leave the shores of Antigua with his paramour, kip-oman nor girl friend, according to public statements made by your #Tap_Dawg.

Lenox Linton in Dominica is now speaking out publicly, and we all know he’s a thorough and well researched reporter.

This is gonna blow up like a Watergate Bomb, and it’s neither speculation nor fabrication, once LAW ENFORCEMENT do what they’re sworn to do and not what they’re told to do by Politicians.

  3. Choksi done give Lovell Limpy Joe the campaign money? Choksi don’t listen to King Lyadd and his EMPTY PROMISES. It’s the same BADPLAY he land on Ms. Querard of Half Moon Bay.

Please Mehul don’t let King Lyadd Lovell run his infamous BADPLAY on you. Just ask Joanne Massiah and Richard Lewis and Anthony Stuart about Lovell.

    • NIGEL CHRISTIAN’S MURDER WAS AN ELIMINATION DEATH TO PROTECT OTHERS.

HELP HELP IS THE CRY THAT I HEAR

    • THE ONLY PERSON WHO EVER GOT CAMPAIGN MONEY FROM CHOKSI IS GASTON. ASK GASTON ABOUT THE MONEY HE GOT IN 2018.

  4. Yeah .. you wanna know if gaston in the hanky panky ?? Why don’t you want a report on the police kills ? If you are so for antigua do what’s right from all angles not just from what can benefit you

  5. i-man the comparison that you are trying to make is utterly ridiculous. Was Harold Lovell the Commissioner of Police, the Attorney General or the Minister of Natural Security? The unfortunate killing of the young lady was a serious police matter. So to is the sordid Choksi matter. However, the latter also has serious international implications since it involves three countries that appear to be involved in the kidnapping, namely, India, Antigua and Dominica.
