OL Pringle clears the air on CARICOM delegation meeting
Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle confirms the recent statement issued by the Office of the National Authorising Officer (ONAO) regarding its efforts to convene a meeting between a visiting CARICOM delegation and the United Progressive Party (UPP) in February.
The Party regrets that a well-intentioned WhatsApp message from one of the participants – which was read on Observer Radio on March 31 – has created confusion about this matter.
As the ONAO explains, at the time of contact, Opposition Leader Pringle was off island and his Deputy was asked to make the arrangements, which, admittedly, took some time to coordinate. Because of the “multiple time and date change requests” this involved, some members of the UPP delegation were confirmed only the night before the meeting took place on February 6.
As explained before, the persons accompanying the Leader were selected on the basis of their areas of interest, expertise, and experience in matters related to this specific meeting and included the Deputy Political Leader, two Senators, and the Party’s Labour Relations Officer.
This manner of selecting a delegation is not new. The Opposition Leader, Jamale Pringle employed the same criteria in designating a colleague MP to participate in two overseas missions related to agriculture and the General Secretary, the former Senate Minority Leader, for meetings related to Foreign Affairs. Neither questions nor objections were raised in those instances.
I take this opportunity to thank the ONAO for the good work it continues to do and the Deputy Political Leader for his efforts, and hope that this communication clears up any and all misunderstandings.

That PRESS RELEASE does not answer the question raised by the three MPs. They said they did not know of the meeting. That is the issue and not about selection. Is the Leader and the Chairman who wrote the press release dunce.
Well well well that response confirms and sums up how incompetent and dishonest Pringle really is!! I hope people can now see that the Mp’s were simply unfairly treated and disrespected. At no point did Mr. Pringle address the root of the problem. Shaking my head….
There was no misunderstanding, Mr. Pringle. The TRUTH was just exposed. Stand like a man behind the leadership decisions! The UPP electorates are fed up with the BS.

Smeal( Jamal Pringle) as you’re affectionately known to me from school day… a good leader communicates well… this explanation shouldn’t even have to be said today… but during the time of the actual situation happening. And your depute is no better than you if that is the way he/she communicated.
It is better to be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and erase all doubt.

Having said that you would address the concerns of the three MP’s behind closed doors i didn’t expect to hear a word from you on this via the media. All you had to say was that there was a misunderstanding in related to the Caricom delegation and the persons so slected. You have opened your mouth and put not just your foot but you entire body. I don’t know how you do that gymnastics.
It is apparent that amidst your fooly and fear of the media media you still love to hear your voice.
Following the convention some matters were clarified at the general council and an undertaking was given by none other but you that it would not be in the press. Minutes after you were on the airwaves making a fool of yourself prompting Richard Lewis to respond. He is no fool. His responses will embarras a multilinguist let alone you.
Here again after giving the commitment to deal with matters behind closed doors you open your mouth like a broken pipe and spill out shit. When you give a commitment KEEP IT.
It is obvious you are too smart to understand what is given to you to read and make a fool of yourself. Get a head with a brain and stop using other people’s. You are just making yourself a laughing stock.
The opposition leader makes a fool of himself and then comes and says he is clearing it up. No. He cannot clear up his constant blunders. He is just exposing his incompetence. If only he goes to one of the hardware stores in town and buys a brain for himself he will stop exposing the fact that he doesn’t have one.
@Straight Shooter I am not a Pringle fan like “V for Vendetta” but you are really hard on him. After the NAO responded to Pearl’s comment to show she was lying, Pringle should have just left the matter go. He had to come out with one of Gisele’s press releases to make all of them look foolish. The issue raised by the three MPs was not even about selection but the fact that they did not know that the Party was meeting with a delegation from CARICOM. The UPP needs to start to look more professional in its image and handling of matters. Even the issue of being an ASSOCIATE of the Conqueror and the Wolf in mounting protests actions make them look like a BIG PAPPYSHOW for the only Opposition Party on the island.
