Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle continues to press Prime Minister Gaston Browne for answers to questions arising from the sale of the Alfa Nero, following the issues raised in Tuesday’s report by the Associated Press (AP).
Using his parliamentary platform, MP Pringle has previously questioned Prime Minister Browne about the identity of the purchaser; the sale price and commission; and the Government’s indemnification of the buyer. Despite these queries, Browne has chosen to shroud the details of the transaction in secrecy.
Worse, now, is the Associated Press’ revelation that the sale documents “had apparently gone missing.”
Based on the Prime Minister’s lack of transparency and his own experience, Pringle says he has no reason to doubt the Associated Press report.
Given the allegation of missing millions and the persons and institutions that are implicated, the Opposition Leader believes the Prime Minister owes taxpayers a full and frank account, including the cost of maintaining the vessel; its ultimate sale; the disbursement of monies received; the reasons for indemnification of the billionaire buyer; and the amount spent in legal fees.
Since this country’s reputation is being further tarnished abroad, and because the cost of all legal actions is being borne by the people, Prime Minister Browne owes this country full disclosure on this matter – particularly at this time of geopolitical uncertainty, Pringle states.

@V for Vendetta he must act like the duly opposition leader and stop relying on press releases. The Opposition Party operating like a big joke. Do you see an Opposition Party any where in the region or may be even in the world behaving like that.
