The most recent results received by the Ministry of
Health Wellness and the Environment from the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) revealed one new laboratory confirmed case of COVID-19.
This brings the total number of persons with laboratory confirmation of the disease in Antigua and Barbuda to 24. The other five samples, sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) were negative for COVID-19. Of note, is that three of the negative cases were repeat samples for persons who previously tested positive.
These patients are symptom free and
brings the total number of persons with no symptoms and negative results to ten. The Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment is pleased to announce that the index case (patient zero) has now tested negative on her third repeat test.
The new COVID-19 case is a female with no travel history. Investigations and contact tracing for this
new case are ongoing.

Can you just say part of the country the person from, at less that would make people alert where the COVID-19 is or mostly spread, thank you.
Maybe you guys don’t understand. So here goes, again… It is illegal to release the medical information of a patient. That information includes, but is not limited to, name, age, nationality, address, etc., and any medical personnel found guilty of such can be tried in a court of law. It is called “confidentiality”. Every one must be protected. Your only concern should be protecting yourself and your loved ones and the only way to do that is to follow instructions (stay at home unless absolutely necessary, wear a mask, wash your hands, etc.). Stop asking them to release information. Follow instructions and just let them to their job. The public will always be privy to the most important details.
