Another 1 more case. I trust and Pray that we can keep it that way. However with certain behaviors demonstrated in certain sections of the Public I am afraid that this may not be the case for too long and that relatively low new case counts we have been experiencing may be short lived. Case in point I have witnessed with my own two eyes that police has had to close a certain Bar on Kentish or Valley Road whichever you may choose to call for severe overcrowding of young party goers. By my count the police had to do so at least on 3 occasions at the this particular establishment over the pass week alone. And this does not include the time several months ago for a similar breach when 78 persons were taken to the station on a Friday only to be released the following day without anyone being charged. I am also told that this was the bar that the Minister of Health referred to that had to be closed for several weeks because of an employee who was isolated reported to work before the end of their isolation period.
Come on this is not time for our society to tolerate such behavior. It is would go counterproductive for the efforts the general society has made over the last 10 months. We have to get more responsible and serious about the risk we expose our selves and others because of the irresponsible behavior of a few.
As I noted in the beginning i hope our daily cases remains low. But I am afraid this may not be the case thanks to an irresponsible few. We need not to look very far. Just look to the most early of the Caribbean Island to the one we refer to as little England.
A word to the wise is sufficient.
Wise words indeed.
Exactly what I have been saying all along. Be safe and protect yourself
Please don’t let the government fool you with their ONE EGG, ONE EGG fulling the basket method. It’s a bunch of crap.
What makes Antigua so special that all we are recording is one case almost every other week and two or three occasionally?
We know they don’t test on arrival and we also know one has to exhibit certain symptoms to be tested.
So…..I think we the citizens of this country deserve an exclamation for the number of test being carried out with all results being negative.
Knowing the nature of this disease it is said to be extremely contagious with the exception of the new strain. This is smells very fishy……..,
I know it’s not all contact tracing.
For months I’ve been aware of individuals with positive cases that weren’t reported since this pandemic started.
If they keep lying to people, the ignorant and careless ones will continue to be that way. Our citizens deserve the truth so they can act accordingly.
MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL!
1 new case ? No-one believing any Min of Health statistics anymore.
People – protect yourselves & be on your guard.
@ Jenna/Stay Alert
May God have mercy on you two especially! Instead of offering words of encouragement to others, especially at a time like this, you egg on the simple-minded to basically distrust everything and everyone desirous of preventing covid-19 mayhem in Antigua and Barbuda. I am sure that you meanwhile are taking every opportunity to protect yourselves from falling victim. The worst of the worst. You would both do well to remember that God nah lub ugly!
