One new case of COVID-19, Active cases drop again

(Dashboard Update for May 11, 2021)

 

The Ministry of Health has reported one (1) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday 8th May 2021 at 6pm.

 

This new case was out of thirty-eight (38) samples processed by MSJMC and twenty-five (25) processed by CARPHA.

 

Eight recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to one thousand one hundred and seventy-eight (1178).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand two hundred and thirty-eight (1238); which is inclusive of twenty-eight (28) active cases. Of these active cases four (4) are hospitalized with all being considered mild.

 

Meanwhile, the total number of persons vaccinated as of May 8th 2021 is thirty one thousand one hundred and forty-five (31,145).

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. CMO please reassure those of us who have received one jab & await our second in a couple of weeks, that you DO have sufficient AstraZeneca shots for us all to receive our second jab and so become fully vaccinated. Await your clear, honest reply with baited breath.
