One New Case Of Covid-19

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has revealed one new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday, Oct. 2 at 6 pm.

Of the 26 samples sent to CARPHA, one returned positive while 25 were negative.

Meanwhile, two recoveries have been recorded bringing that total to 96.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda remains at 107 with eight active cases.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. We keep missing the pending tests. Continually stating subsequent to, new testing. Like this one.
    Get updates that are not from 6 pm Sun, Tues and Thurs.
    Just decide a format for information and stick to it. If it needs to be 6 days a week in order to properly inform the public, so be it.
    We should have the pending test information in the dashboard.

    • And nationals coming home from away need to stay in self-isolation for govt. prescribed time, unless govt. pcr negative test allows them freedom of movement earlier. In this way chaos & worry for hundreds in multiple public places, businesses & schools can be avoided and potential spread contained.
