CABINET NOTES: The Cabinet received a report on the One Nation Concert held last month at the Antigua Recreation Grounds, over a two day period. Expenditure totaled 1.5 million dollars.

For the first time in its ten year history fees were charged for entry, and a sum exceeding $300,000.00 was collected.

The Cabinet is proposing a three- day festival in 2026: The first day for calypso and soca; the second day for dancehall and reggae; and, the third day for Gospel.

At the most recently-held concert, the largest crowd attended on the Sunday night when gospel was the genre.

  1. Butttt…The Workers Union Food stall was criticized for operating at a loss of 1/2 million, and this venture spent 1.5 Million and only made 300K. How does this make sense???

  2. Spent???? Spent???? Collected??? Collectex??? Was the spending in artists? Was the collected on ticket sales? If my compulsions are correct it means that the tax payers are left holding a heft debt. It would seem to me that the show was a massive failure since we are 1.2million in debt. Is that what we are looking to take forward? Failure and debt?????

  3. Thank you for this report.

Years later and still no ROMANTIC RHYTHMNS Report!! Harold Lovell what say you???

This is almost $1 MILLION in the RED, or went to support The RED MURDAH_Inc Criminal Enterprise.

One can only imagine, how much money The RED MURDAH_Inc, Criminal Enterprise have shaken down the poor people of the Nation for by using this FETE, as cover for their crookedness!

  5. ” the LARGEST CROWD attended on the Sunday night when GOSPEL was the genre.”

Take note of how much our country needs JESUS! The King of kings and Lord of lords. The Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah. The soon-coming King who is coming to reward those who love and serve Him.

Hope the Festivals Commission realize that the GOSPEL MUSIC demographic needs to be further tapped into. Not everyone loves the winking up, drunkenness, weed-smoking and dress half-naked prancing in the streets

  6. Where can I find out more information on this One Nation Music Festival for 2026? I cannot find a dedicate website for it. One Nation Music Festival can grow into a music festival bigger than St.Kitts Music Festival.

  7. Instead of fixing and maintaining our roads, the shit govt wastes our tax dollars on shit like this.

All you people that vote this govt in, you deserve what you get. Now you have to pay more to register all your vehicles.

Keep on falling for the yearly bribes of free ham, turkey, freezer, microwave and driver’s licenses and voting creative self enrichment govt people in. You get exactly what you deserve.

  8. So, the One Nation Concert has sparked some discussions, and rightfully so. While it’s great to see people enjoying the event, particularly the gospel night, we can’t overlook the financial side of things.

Spending $1.5 million and only making $300k back raises concerns about where the funds were allocated. It’s important that we call for transparency and accountability, especially when taxpayers are involved.

Here’s hoping the organizers address our concerns before planning the proposed three-day festival in 2026. Additionally, considering the large turnout for the gospel night, perhaps it’s time to focus more on events that cater to different demographics and provide a family-friendly atmosphere.
