The Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority has provided a comprehensive update on the return of air carriers to the destination.
The update which was provided to our newsroom upon request, shows a return of major airlines from US, Canadian and European ports in coming weeks and months. Below is the latest.
Caribbean:
Regional Carriers, Caribbean Airlines and LIAT return to the destination in July. (depending on if there are no further covid-19 outbreaks)
USA:
American Airlines:
- Miami/MIA: Daily, all year round currently arrives at 11:15 p.m. This changes to 10:30am departure/1:50pm arrival, first week in July
- New York/JFK: Saturdays-only as of October 25 (subject to change)
- Daily from JFK, as of mid-December (subject to change)
- Charlotte/CLT: Saturdays-only from mid-December (subject to change)
Delta:
- Atlanta/ATL: Saturdays-only from July 04
JetBlue:
- JFK: Twice weekly (Thursdays & Sundays) from July 02
Canada:
The destination is set to be reconnected with the Canadian source market by mid-year. This comes as 2 major carriers – Air Canada and WestJet, have commenced the loading of fares for the service on their website. On July 5th, WestJet will resume once weekly service out of Toronto, with operations every Sunday. Air Canada will follow up with once weekly service [Saturdays] out of Toronto as of August 1st, 2020. These schedules will run throughout the Summer and Fall periods, with an increase in frequency at the start of the Winter season – November ‘20.

Air Canada – 1x weekly Saturday service from August 1st, 2020.

British Airways plan resumption of flights to ANU, will begin on July 19th, with a twice weekly service, and increase accordingly , as demand increases.
Both flights will over night ANU and depart following day, and are un-tagged , Antigua only.
