There are more calls for sex education to be taught in school as the ministry of education probes a so called sex in class video.

Director of Education Clare Browne confirmed the probe yesterday after a video on two students surfaced on Facebook.

The young boy and girl were seen in the video kissing and touching each other while fully clothed.

Another student allegedly recorded the video during what appeared to be a free period.

The recording which lasted over a minute was posted on Troll Antigua but was later removed.

The owners of the page said they should not be blamed for student’s behavior, after a public backlash.

Browne said while he has not seen the video, his ministry will investigate it.

Speaking on an unrelated topic a day earlier, teacher Zara Airall reiterated her call for sex education in school.

She said it is about helping the little children to empower themselves where their bodies are concerned.”

“One of the biggest misconceptions; they think that sex education is teaching children how to have sexual intercourse.Sex ed is like English,” She said.
